«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է.
Ռուսաստանի նախագահի` նախօրեին տված հարցազրույցից հետո ոմանց մոտ տպավորություն է ձեւավորվել, թե Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը վայելում է ՌԴ աջակցությունը: Ըստ այս տեսակետի, դրա մասին է վկայում Վլադիմիր Պուտինի այն հայտարարությունը, թե Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին դավաճան անվանելն անհիմն է, կարելի է խոսել նրա թույլ տված սխալների մասին։ Սակայն քաղաքական գործընթացներին լավատեղյակ շրջանակներում համոզված են, որ ՌԴ նախագահը ստեղծված իրավիճակում փորձ է անում շահած դուրս գալ եւ հանուն իր կայսրության շահերի է առայժմ պահպանում Փաշինյանին․ «Ռուսաստանի շահերից չէր բխում տարածաշրջանում թուրքական գործոնի այսչափ մեծացումը, բայց եթե ստեղծվել է այս իրավիճակը, ապա Ռուսաստանը կփորձի հիմա իր շահերն առավելագույնս առաջ մղել»։ Մեր աղբյուրի տեղեկություններով, չնայած եռակողմ հայտարարությամբ խոսք է գնում Արցախում 1960 խաղաղապահի տեղակայման մասին, սակայն ստվերային բանակցություններ են ընթանում, եւ ռուսական կողմը ցանկանում է 14-15 հազար զինվոր ուղարկել Ղարաբաղ ու այդ տարածքները դարձնել իր պոլիգոնը։
Հետեւաբար, առնվազն մինչեւ դեկտեմբերի 1-ը՝ հայտարարությամբ նշված տարածքների հանձնման վերջնաժամկետը, Ռուսաստանին ձեռնտու չէ, որ Հայաստանում վարչապետ փոխվի, ուստի ակնհայտ հարվածներ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին չեն հասցվելու։ Հարվածները հասցվելու են ավելի դիվանագիտորեն, ինչպես Շուշիի հարցում Փաշինյանի սուտը ջրի երես հանելն էր։
