ՄԱԿ-ը զգուշացնում է՝ «2021թ-ն ավելի վատ կլինի, քան 2020-ը, սպասվում է բիբլիական մասշտաբների սով»

ՄԱԿ-ի Համաշխարհային պարենային ծրագրի ղեկավար Դևիդ Բիսլին նախազգուշացնում է աշխարհի առաջնորդներին, որ հաջորդ տարին այս տարվանից ավելի վատ կլինի, և առանց միլիարդավոր դոլարների «մենք 2021 թվականին ունենալու ենք բիբլիական մասշտաբների սով»։

Դևիդ Բիսլին «Associated Press» գործակալությանը տված հարցազրույցում նշել է այն աշխատանքը, որ անում է  գործակալությունը բախումների, աղետների և փախստականների ճամբարներում՝ հաճախ աշխատողների կյանքը վտանգելով միլիոնավոր սոված մարդկանց կերակրելու համար, բայց նաև ուղարկում է «աշխարհին հաղորդագրություն, որ վիճակը վատթարանում է ... (և), որ մեր ամենադժվար աշխատանքը դեռ սպասվում է»:

Բիսլին հիշեցրել է ապրիլին ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդին իր նախազգուշացումն այն մասին, որ քանի որ աշխարհը զբաղված էր կորոնավիրուսի համաճարակի դեմ պայքարով, այն նաև «սովի համաճարակի եզրին էր», որը կարող է մի քանի ամսվա ընթացքում բերել «աստվածաշնչային համամասնությունների սովի», եթե անհապաղ գործողություններ չձեռնարկվեն։

«Մենք կարողացանք դա կանխել 2020 թվականին ... քանի որ համաշխարհային առաջնորդները պատասխանեցին փողերով, խթանիչ փաթեթներով, պարտքերի հետաձգմամբ», - ասել է նա:

Այժմ, Բիսլիի խոսքով, COVID-19-ը կրկին աճում է, տնտեսությունները շարունակում են վատթարանալ, հատկապես ցածր և միջին եկամուտ ունեցող երկրներում, և կա արգելափակումների մեկ այլ ալիք:

Պաշտոնյան նաև նշել է, որ 2020-ին հասանելի եղած գումարը հնարավոր է չլինի 2021-ին և իրավիճակը հաջորդ 12-ից 18 ամիսներին կլինի արտառոց։
