Գերմանական Die Tageszeitung պարբերականն անդրադարձել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում հայերի դեմ Ադրբեջանի սանձազերծած պատերազմին և դրա հանգուցալուծմանը՝ շեշտելով Թուրքիային զսպելու հարցում Գերմանիայի անկարողությունը։

«Պատկերացրեք, որ Եվրոպայում պատերազմ է, և ոչ ոք ուշադրություն չի դարձնում այդ փաստին։ Հենց դա էլ տեղի ունեցավ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում։ Գերմանիայի նախագահությամբ Խաղաղության Նոբելյան մրցանակի դափնեկիր ԵՄ-ի աչքի առաջ պատերազմ բռնկվեց, որն այժմ պետք է ավարտվի տարածքային սահմանների տեղաշարժով և տասնյակ հազարավոր հայերի արտաքսմամբ»,- գրում է թերթը։

Ինչպե նշվում է հոդվածում, ո՛չ կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը, ո՛չ արտաքին գործերի նախարար Հեյկո Մաասը, ո՛չ ԵՄ-ի պատասխանատուները չեն միջամտել հակամարտությանը՝ նշելով, որ սա առաջին դեպքը չէ, երբ ԵՄ-ն ձախողվում է Գերմանիայի նախագահության ժամանակ։
