Արվեստի և գիտության հայ ու օտարերկրացի նշանավոր գործիչները Ադրբեջանի առաջին փոխնախագահ Մեհրիբան Ալիևային ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի բարի կամքի դեսպանի կոչումից հեռացնելու առցանց ստորագրավահաք են սկսել: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` այս մասին «Ֆեյսբուքի» իր էջում գրել է կանադահայ դերասանուհի Արսինե Խանջյանը:

Ստորագրահավաքը տեղադրված է Change.org կայքում, որին կցված է նաև բաց նամակ` ուղղված ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի գլխավոր տնօրեն Օդրի Ազուլեին:

 
«Մենք կարծում ենք, որ Ադրբեջանի առաջին փոխնախագահ Մեհրիբան Ալիևան` ժամանակակից ամենակոռումպացված, դաժան և ռեպրեսիվ ռեժիմներից մեկի ներկայացուցիչը, չպետք է մնա ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի բարի կամքի դեսպան, որպես քաղաքական գործիչ, որը լիակատար պատասխանատվություն է կրում մարդու իրավունքների անթիվ խախտումների, պետական մակարդակով հայերի նկատմամբ ատելության քաղաքականության խրախուսման և իրականացման, ինչպես նաև հայերի դեմ ադրբեջանական ղեկավարության կողմից իրականացված բազմաթիվ ռազմական հանցագործությունների համար»,- ասված է նամակում:

Բաց նամակի հեղինակները հիշեցրել են նաև Ադրբեջանի նախագահի կնոջ և Ադրբեջանի առաջին փոխնախագահի այն հայտարարությունները, թե ԼՂ հակամարտությունը կարող է լուծվել միայն ռազմական ճանապարհով, իսկ 30 տարվա բանակցությունները անիմաստ են եղել:

ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի գլխավոր տնօրենին ուղղված նամակում նշված է նաև Շուշիի ու Ստեփանակերտի հոգևոր, մշակութային օջախների, քաղաքացիական ենթակառուցվածքների Ադրբեջանի կողմից թիրախավորման մասին, որոնք հանգեցրել են ավերածությունների և մարդկային զոհերի:

Բաց նամակի տակ ստորագրել են կանադահայ կինոռեժիսոր Ատոմ Էգոյանը, SOAD խմբի մենակատար Սերժ Թանկյանը, կանադահայ դերասանուհի Արսինե Խանջյանը, իսրայելցի կինոռեժիսոր Ամոս Գիտայը, մի շարք հեղինակավոր հասարակական և մշակութային գործիչներ, տարբեր կրթական հաստատությունների ղեկավարներ, պրոֆեսորներ:

Առցանց ստորագրահավաքին արդեն միացել է մոտ 23 հազար մարդ:
