Այս պատերազմի ամբողջ ընթացքում Ալիեւը հայտարարում էր, որ շատ ու շատ բնակավայրեր են իրենք վերցրել, առնվազն շատ ավելի շուտ էր հայտարարում, քան դա լինում էր կամ ընդհանրապես չէր լինում։ Այնպես որ, չէի ուզենա, որ մեր հասարակությունը հենվեր Ալիեւի հայտարարությունների վրա։ Այս մասին Հանրային ՀԸ  «Հարցազրույց Պետրոս Ղազարյանի հետ» հաղորդաշարի ընթացքում հայտարարել է ՊՆ ներկայացուցիչ Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանը՝ անդրադառնալով Շուշին իբր գրավելու առիթով Ալիեւին հասցեագրված Էրդողանի շնորհավորանքին։

«Շնորհավորանքներ, Բաքվում միմյան կոնֆետներ են բաժանում․․․ Բայց հաճախ եմ ասել, որ ոչ շատ ոգեղեն, ոչ էլ խուճապային բաներ ցանցերում պետք չէ տարածել, քանր որ դրանք ոչ լիարժեք պատկերացում են տալիս ռազմաճակատի դրության մասին։ Շուշին, իհարկե, մեզ համար կարեւոր քաղաք է, սուրբ վայր է, բայց․․․ Երեկ ասացի, որ եթե ունես կամք ու վճռականություն՝ մինչեւ վերջ կռվելու, եթե ունես պատրաստակամություն՝ գնալ մինչեւ վերջ, մեկ քաղաքի կորուստը ոչինչ չի նշանակում։ Մենք, իհարկե ձգտելու ենք, Շուշին մեզ համար խորհրդանշական դեր ունի, բայց․․․ առաջ չընկնենք իրադարձություններից։ Մենք գործ ունենք շատ ուժեղ թշնամու հետ, Թուրքիան ամեն ինչով օգնում է, բայց եթե ունես մարտունակ զորք, ամեն մի պահի կարող ես անցնել հակահարձակման, ամենակարեւորը զորքը պահպանելն է։ Ես օրերս տեսել եմ մեր հրամանատարներին, զինվորներին, նրանց աչքերը վառվում են վրեժխնդրությունից։ Նրանց չի հաջողվել ամբողջովին վերցնել քաղաքը, վերահսկողություն սահմանել ենթակառուցվածքների նկատմամբ, լոգիստիկան կտրել։ Մենք առաջին փուլը հաղթեցինք, բայց գիշերը վերախմբավորում արեցին ու ավելի մեծ ուժերով եկան։ Արդեն դիվերսիոն խմբերով չեն, զրահատեխնիկայով, հրետանիով են եկել», ասել է ՊՆ ներկայացուցիչը։

Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանը հայտնել է, որ այսօր մարտեր են ընթացել Մատաղիսի, Մարտունու, Բերձորի ուղություններում։

«Մատաղիսի ուղղությամբ հարձակումները, ոչ մեծ, շարունակվել են, Մարտունիում առավոտյան նրանց հաջողվել էր մեկ դիրք վերցնել, բայց զրահատեխնիկայի կորուստ ունեցան ու հետ շպրտվեցին։ Հադրութից արեւմուտք ծանր մարտեր են ընթացել, գրոհները հետ են մղվել, նրանց չի հաջողվել առաջ գնալ։ Եթե այս ուղղություններից մեկում բեկում մտցնենք՝ կարող է իրավիճակ փոխվել», ասել է Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանը։
