Թուրքիայի և Ֆրանսիայի հարաբերությունները վերջին մեկ ամսվա ընթացքում էականորեն սրվել են:

«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` ռուսական «Կոմերսանտն» ամփոփել է երկու երկրների միջև քաղաքական և դիվանագիտական առճակատումը՝ նշելով, որ Անկարայի ու Փարիզի հարաբերություններն ավելի ու ավելի սարսափեցնող են դառնում:
 
Լրատվամիջոցը հիշեցնում է, որ Ֆրանսիան սպառնացել է Եվրոպական Միության պատժամիջոցներ կիրառել Թուրքիայի դեմ, իսկ մինչ այդ երկրի Ներքին գործերի նախարարությունը Ֆրանսիայում արգելել է թուրքական ծայրահեղական ազգայնական «Գորշ գայլեր» խմբավորման գործունեությունը, որը հայտնի է իր ծայրահեղական գործողություններով ինչպես Թուրքիայում, այնպես էլ դրա սահմաններից դուրս: Ի պատասխան այդ պատժամիջոցների՝ Անկարան խոստացել է կոշտ արձագանքել:

Europe 1 ռադիոկայանին տված հարցազրույցում  Ֆրանսիայի Արտաքին  գործերի նախարար Ժան Իվ Լը  Դրիանը նշել է, որ այդ պատժամիջոցների պատճառը Թուրքիայի ագրեսիվ գործողություններն են Եվրոպայի սահմանների մոտ` Լիբիայում, Արևելյան Միջերկրականում, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում և Իրաքի հյուսիսում: Նախարարը նշել է, որ Թուրքիայի գործողությունները դուր չեն գալիս ամբողջ Եվրոպական Միությանը:

«Մենք շատ մեծ ցանկ ունենք Թուրքիայի հետ տարաձայնությունների, բայց վերջին շաբաթվա ընթացքում մենք դուրս ենք եկել մեկ այլ` երկու երկրների հարաբերությունների անթույլատրելի մակարդակ: Մենք ակնկալում ենք, որ Թուրքիայի նախագահը վերջ կտա իր վիրավորական արտահայտություններին և նման պահվածքին: Մենք թույլ չենք տա, որ այդ ատելությունն ու բռնությունները բերվեն Ֆրանսիայի տարածք»,- նշել է նախարարը:

Թուրքիայի ու Ֆրանսիայի միջև հարաբերությունները սրվել են այն բանից հետո, երբ Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնը հայտարարել է ծայրահեղական իսլամիստների դեմ պայքար սկսելու մասին: Այդ հայտարարությունից հետո Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Էրդողանը Ֆրանսիայի իր գործընկերոջը հոգեկանը բուժելու կոչ էր արել, իսկ Ֆրանսիան նույն օրը խորհրդակցությունների նպատակով հետ էր կանչել Անկարայում իր դեսպանին:
