Modern Diplomacy հանդեսը իր հոդվածներից մեկում նշում է, որ դեմոկրատ Ջո Բայդենի` ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահական ընտրություններում հաղթանակի դեպքում Հունաստանի շահերը կարող են անտեսվել` ելնելով այլ նկատառումներից, որ առաջնային է լինելու Ռուսաստանի դեմ մինչև հաղթանակ պայքարելու անհրաժեշտությունը: Հոդվածի հեղինակ, հույն լրագրող և քաղաքագետ Արիս Դիմիտրակոպուլոսը ընթերցողին է ներկայացնում Եվրասիայում ապագա աշխարհաքաղաքական իրավիճակի վերաբերյալ իր տեսլականը:

Նրա խոսքերով` ավելի վաղ հույները հույս էին դնում դեմոկրատ թեկնածուի համակրանքի վրա, որը քննադատում էր թուրքերի գործողությունները Միջերկրական ծովի արևելքում: Բայց հիմա պարզ է, որ Աթենքի համար ոչ մի երաշխիք չկա: Եվ պատճառը շատ ավելի լուրջ է, քան տարածաշրջանային բախումներն են:

«Բայդենը երկմտություն չունի Ռուսաստանի վերաբերյալ: Մոսկվային անկյուն քշելն ու ճնշում գործադրելը նրա արտաքին քաղաքականության ռազմավարության հիմնական նպատակն է: Ջո Բայդենը վերջերս Ռուսաստանին անվանել է «Ամերիկայի անվտանգության ամենամեծ սպառնալիք»: Նա նաև բազմիցս քննադատել է նախագահ Թրամփին` Բելառուսի և Նավալնիի գործերի վերաբերյալ չափավոր դիրքորոշման համար և երդվել է, որ ընտրվելու դեպքում կազատվի «բռնապետ Լուկաշենկոյից»,-նշում է փորձագետը:

Բայց Մոսկվայի դեմ աշխարհաքաղաքական հարձակման համար ամերիկացիներին անհրաժեշտ կլինի հզոր դաշնակից, որը, կարծես, գտնվել է:

«Բայդենը չի կարող հաղթել Ռուսաստանին առանց Թուրքիայի աջակցության: Փաստացիորեն, Թուրքիան ԱՄՆ միակ դաշնակիցն է, որը արդյունավետորեն խնդիրներ է ստեղծում Մոսկվայի համար Մերձավոր Արևելքում, Աֆրիկայում և Կովկասում: Բացի այդ, Անկարան շարունակում է կոշտ դիրքորոշում պահպանել  Ղրիմի հարցում եւ վերջերս ռազմական համագործակցության պայմանագիր է ստորագրել Կիևի հետ: Եթե Բայդենը հաղթի, Թուրքիան վաղ թե ուշ կդառնա Միացյալ Նահանգների արտաքին քաղաքականության անկյունաքարերից մեկը»,-գրում է Դիմիտրակոպուլոսը:

Ըստ քաղաքագետի ՝ աշխարհաքաղաքական հիմնական նպատակին հասնելու համար Բայդենը ստիպված կլինի հրաժարվել իր նախընտրական դիրքորոշումներից, իսկ Հունաստանի փոխարեն ՝ կաջակցի Թուրքիայի ձգտումներին ՝ Ռուսաստանի դեմ ուղղված դաշինքում օգնության դիմաց:

Իսկ ԱՄՆ-ի այլ դաշնակիցներ (այդ թվում `նույնիսկ Իսրայելը) կարող են հայտնվել Վաշինգտոնի ճնշման տակ` Անկարայի ցանկացած հակումներին ենթարկվելու համար:

Նույնիսկ եթե Դոնալդ Թրամփը հաղթի ընտրություններում, Վաշինգտոնը կշարունակի Անկարային դիտել որպես բարդ, բայց կենսական դաշնակից, որն ունակ է ակտիվորեն պաշտպանել ամերիկյան շահերը Միջերկրական ծովի արևելքում և Մերձավոր Արևելքում:

Վերջին տարիներին Անկարայի դերը Միացյալ Նահանգների աշխարհաքաղաքական շախմատային տախտակին զգալիորեն աճել է ՝ մի քանի ճակատներում միաժամանակ ռազմական ուժը արդյունավետ օգտագործելու թուրքերի կարողության շնորհիվ, ընդգծում է հույն փորձագետը:
