«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է.

ԱՄՆ-ն այսօր նախագահ է ընտրում։ Սպիտակ տանը առաջիկա չորս տարում տանտեր լինելու համար պայքարում են Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից գործող նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը, իսկ դեմոկրատներից՝ Ջոզեֆ Բայդենը։ Բացի այդ, ընտրվելու են նաեւ 35 սենատոր, 435 կոնգրեսական, 13 նահանգապետ, տարածքային եւ տեղական իշխանության ներկայացուցիչներ։

Բոլոր մասնագետները պնդում են՝ Բայդենը կհաղթի մեծ առավելությամբ։ Ներդրողների ու վերլուծաբանների կարծիքով՝ դեմոկրատ թեկնածու Ջոզեֆ Բայդենի ընտրվելու դեպքում ԱՄՆ-ն կխստացնի վերաբերմունքը Անկարայի հանդեպ Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Էրդողանի արտաքին ռազմական միջամտությունների եւ Ռուսաստանի հետ սերտ համագործակցության պատճառով։ ԱՄՆ-ում Թուրքիայի հանդեպ պատժամիջոցներ սահմանելու առաջարկներ արվել էին դեռ այն ժամանակ, երբ Անկարան, անտեսելով արեւմտյան դաշնակիցների հորդորները, ձեռք բերեց ռուսական S-400 հրթիռային համակարգեր, ինչը, Վաշինգտոնի գնահատմամբ, սպառնալիք է ՆԱՏՕ-ի անվտանգությանը։

Անցած շաբաթ առաջատար հանրապետական ու դեմոկրատական սենատորները կրկին կոչ արեցին Անկարայի դեմ պատժամիջոցներ սահմանել, երբ Թուրքիան առաջին անգամ փորձարկեց ռուսական հրթիռները՝ առաջացնելով Պենտագոնի ու Պետդեպարտամենտի վրդովմունքը։

Վերլուծաբանների կարծիքով՝ Թուրքիայի հետ ԱՄՆ-ի հարաբերություններում կարող է սառնություն առաջանալ, եթե նոյեմբերի 3-ին հաղթի Բայդենը։ Դեռ անցած դեկտեմբերին նա խոսել էր ավտոկրատ Էրդողանի հանդեպ նոր մոտեցում որդեգրելու օգտին՝ անհանգստություն հայտնելով Ռուսաստանի հետ Թուրքիայի համագործակցության կապակցությամբ։ Լոս Անջելեսում անկախ հետազոտական EM ընկերության նախագահ Բլեզ Անթինն էլ նշում է, որ, այնուամենայնիվ, Բայդենի դեպքում Սպիտակ տան կապը Էրդողանի հետ, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, ավելի թույլ կլինի։ Միաժամանակ նա նշել է, որ Էրդողանը պրագմատիկ մարդ է եւ նման զարգացումների դեպքում կփորձի որոշ պտույտներ կատարել։ Իսկ ի՞նչ փոփոխություն կարող է լինել ԱՄՆ նախագահի ընտրություններից հետո Հայաստանի համար:

Այս առնչությամբ քաղաքագետ Հայկ Ա. Մարտիրոսյանը «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի հետ զրույցում նշում է. «Թրամփի վերընտրվելու պարագայում ոչ մի էական փոփոխություններ չեն լինի։ Կշարունակվի այն գիծը, որը լավագույն դեպքում Ռոբերտ Օ՛Բրայենի հայամետ հայտարարությունների տեսքն ունեցավ։ Բայդենի ընտրության պարագայում լուրջ եւ ծանր ճնշում կսկսի կիրառվել Թուրքիայի վրա, կարող է կրճատվել Ադրբեջանի հետ համագործակցության եւ օգնության ծավալը, որ ավանդաբար Ադրբեջանին եւ Հայաստանին է տրվել։

Կսկսվի արդեն իրական մրցավազք Հարավային Կովկասում` ի հակադրություն արդեն Թուրքիային անցած Ադրբեջանի, շահելու համար Հայաստանի սիրտը։ Այդ առումով Բայդենը ոչ միայն ԱՄՆ համար միակ ընդունելի թեկնածուն է, այլեւ Հայաստանի»։ Այսպիսով, Հայաստանին մնում է սպասել ընտրությունների արդյունքներին:

Երեւանյան ժամանակով 22։00-ի դրությամբ, երբ ԱՄՆ ողջ տարածքում ընտրությունները մի քանի ժամ է, ինչ ընթանում էին, իսկ մի քանի նահանգներում արդեն հայտնի էին արդյունքները, Exit-poll-ի տվյալների համաձայն՝ 52/48 տոկոս հարաբերակցությամբ առաջատար է Ջո Բայդենը»:
