Ադրբեջանական ոչ մի ոտնձգություն Հայաստանի կողմից անպատիժ չի մնում, բայց բոլոր դեպքերում, մենք տեսնում ենք, որ սահմանային իրավիճակի լարվածությունը դառնում է սովորական երևույթ: Լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը նման կարծիք հայտնեց քաղաքագետ Ալեքսանդր Մարգարովը` ընդգծելով, որ յուրքանաչյուր նման դեպքից հետո ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խու մբը հանդես է գալիս հայտարարությամբ:

Հարցին, թե արդյոք Ադրբեջանի ակտիվությունը պայմանավորված է առաջիկայում սպասվող Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի նախագահների հետ և ինչ ակնկալել այդ հանդիպումից, Մարգարովն ասել է. «Դա այն հանդիպումն է, որն ընդհանուր բանակցային գործընթացի բաղադրիչներից մեկն է:  Դժվար թե կարելի է ակնկալել ինչ-որ լուրջ առաջխաղացում բանակցություններում՝ հաշվի առնելով, որ կողմերը խնդրի վերաբերյալ ունեն արդեն դասական դարձած չտարբերվող դիրքորոշումեր: Բոլոր դեպքերում այս հանդիպմամբ շեշտադարվում է, որ կողմերը ներգրավված են ոչ թե բացահայտ առճակատման, այլ կիսախաղաղ բանակցային գործընթացում »,-ասաց Ալեքսանդր Մարգարովը:  Ինչ վերաբերում է նախագահների հանդիպմամբ պայմանավորված սահմանային լարվածության հնարավոր թուլացմանը, ապա քաղաքագետը նշեց, որ վերջին մեկ ու կես տարվա ընթացքում ունեցած փորձը, ադրբեջանական պահվածքը ցույց է տալիս, որ ամեն դեպքում լարվածությունը պահպանվում է:

Անդրադառնալով այն տեսակետին, թե Ադրբեջանի ակտիվությունը պայմանավորված է ռուս-թուրքական հարաբերությունների սրմամբ, Ալեքսանդր Մարգարովը փաստեց, որ, իհարկե, Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Մևլութ Չավուշօղլուն խոսել էր Ադրբեջանի կողմից տարածք վերադարձնելու մասին, սակայն ադրբեջանցիներն այս դեպքում հանդես են գալիս հաշվի առնելով ոչ թե թուրքական շահերը, այլ սեփական:

«Մեծ եղբոր դերակատարոթյունը կարևոր է, բայց Ադրբեջանն առաջին հերթին սեփական շահերից ելնելով է հանդես գալիս: Արդյոք ռուս-թուրքական հարաբերությունների սրացումը կազդի հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանային լարվածության վրա՝ դժվար թե: Այն ինչ եղել է նախկինում, այդպես էլ կշարունակվի: Ամեն դեպքում դա չի վերածվի լուրջ ռազմական գործողությունների»-հավելեց փորձագետը:
