Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը, պատասխանելով ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից իր երկրի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցներ կիրառելու սպառնալիքին, նշել է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները չգիտի, թե ում հետ գործ ունի: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ, ինչպես հայտնում է CNN Turk-ը, այս մասին Էրդողանն ասել է իր գլխավորած իշխող «Արդարության ու զարգացում» կուսակցության Մալաթիայի համագումարի ժամանակ, անդրադառնալով ԱՄՆ-ի հետ ունեցած հակասություններին ու Ադրբեջանին իր աջակցությանը:
«Որոշ ամերիկացիներ զանգում են իմ եղբայր Իլհամ Ալիևին ու ասում. «Մենք գիտենք, թե ով է ձեր կողքին կանգնած: Դուք Թուրքիային եք ապավինում, բայց մենք Թուրքիայի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոց կսահմանենք»: Ախր դու (դիմում է ԱՄՆ-ին- խմբ.) չգիտես, թե ում հետ ես խաղի մեջ մտել: Մի՛ ուշացրու, սահմանիր քո պատժամիջոցները տեսնենք: Մենք F-35 կործանիչի համար մեր քայլն արեցինք, ձեզ գումարը վճարեցինք, իսկ դուք մեր F-35-երը չտվեցիք, չեք տալիս ու մեզ էլ սպառնում եք՝ ասելով՝ հետ տվեք Ռուսաստանից գնած S-400-ները: Մենք հո գաճաճ պետություն չե՞նք: Մենք Թուրքիան ենք, Թուրքիան»,- ասել է Էրդողանը:
Թուրքիայի նախագահը հիշեցրել է, որ տարիներ առաջ, երբ ինքը նոր էր վարչապետ դարձել, ԱՄՆ-ից ԱԹՍ են ցանկացել, սակայն չեն ստացել:
«Չտվեցին, ձգձգեցին: Դրանից ի՞նչ եղավ: Մենք ԱԹՍ-ի տեր դարձանք ու հիմա ոչ թե սովորական այլ հարվածային: Այդ Հարվածային ԱԹՍ-ներն այժմ աշխարհում օրինակ են դարձել: Որոշ երկրներ էլ ցանկանում են հարվածային ԱԹՍ-ների հարցում մեզ համար խոչընդոտներ ստեղծել»,- նշել է Թուրքիայի նախագահը:
Սեպտեմբերի 27-ից Ադրբեջանը Թուրքիայի աջակցությամբ պատերազմ է սանձազերծել Արցախի դեմ՝ կիրառելով ողջ զինանոցը, թիրախավորելով անգամ քաղաքացիական բնակչությանը թե Արցախում, թե Հայաստանում: Առկա են հաստատված տեղեկություններ, որ Ադրբեջանի զինուժի կազմում հայկական կողմի դեմ մարտերի մեջ են նաև Սիրիայից Թուրքիայի միջոցով բերված վարձկաններ: Ադրբեջանը երկու անգամ խախտել է հոկտեմբերի 10-ին և 17-ին Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև կրակի դադարեցման վերաբերյալ ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունը: Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների կոնգրեսականները բանաձևեր են ներկայացրել Թուրքիայի ու Ադրբեջանին տրվող ռազմական օգնությունը դադարեցնելու պահանջով: Կոնգրեսականները պահանջում են նաև պատժամիջոցներ կիրառել նշված երկու երկրների դեմ:
