Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգներ աշխատանքային այցի շրջանակներում Հայաստանի ԱԳ նախարար Զոհրաբ Մնացականյանը հոկտեմբերի 23-ին հեռավար ձևաչափով հանդիպում ունեցավ ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի խոսնակ Նենսի Փելոսիի հետ: Հանդիպմանը մասնակցում էր նաև ՀՀ Ազգային Ժողովի Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ բարեկամական խմբի նախագահ Լիլիթ Մակունցը:

Զրույցի ընթացքում նախարար Մնացականյանը հանգամանորեն անդրադարձավ սեպտեմբերի 27-ից Ադրբեջանի ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարության կողմից Արցախի դեմ սանձազերծված լայնամասշտաբ պատերազմին և դրա հետևանքով ստեղծված հումանիտար իրավիճակին:

Նախարար Մնացականյանը շեշտեց, որ Ադրբեջանի կողմից նախապես ծրագրված ագրեսիան ուղեկցվում է բազմաթիվ պատերազմական հանցագործություններով՝ այդ թվում միջազգային կոնվենցիաներով արգելված զինատեսակների կիրառմամբ խաղաղ բնակչության և քաղաքացիական ենթակառուցվածքների, կրոնական և պաշտամունքի վայրերի անխտրական թիրախավորմամբ։

Այս ամենը հանդիսանում է Արցախի խաղաղ բնակչության անվտանգությանն ուղղված էքզիստենցիալ սպառնալիք, ինչին միջազգային հանրությունը կարող է հակազդել Արցախի ժողովրդի ինքնորոշման իրավունքի լիակատար իրացման՝ անկախության ճանաչման միջոցով:

ԱԳ նախարարի խոսքով Ադրբեջանի կողմից իրականացվող ռազմական գործողություններում Թուրքիայի անմիջական ներգրավվածությունը, որն արտահայտվում է վերջինիս կողմից Ադրբեջանին տրամադրվող քաղաքական և ռազմական ուղղակի աջակցությամբ և հակամարտության գոտում օտարերկրյա զինյալ ահաբեկիչների տեղակայմամբ, սպառնալիք է տարածաշրջանային անվտանգությանն ու խաղաղությանը։

Կողմերն ընդգծեցին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության գոտում կրակի անհապաղ դադարեցման շուրջ ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունների անհապաղ իրականացման և ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահության շրջանակներում խաղաղ գործընթացը շարունակելու անհրաժեշտությունը:

ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարը շնորհակալություն հայտնեց ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման համար՝ առաձնահատուկ ընդգծելով խոսնակ Նենսի Պելոսիի անձնական ներդրումը։
