ՄԱԿ գլխավոր քարտուղարը համաշխարհային խոշոր հակամարտություններում՝ Եմենից եւ Լիբիայից մինչեւ Աֆղանստան եւ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ, հրադադարի կոչ է անում՝ նախազգուշացնելով, որ եթե ռազմական գործողությունները շարունակվեն, «միակ հաղթողը կլինի համավարակը»:
Գլխավոր քարտուղար Անտոնիո Գուտերեշը Associated Press-ին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է, որ ինքը կրկնում է կրակը անհապաղ դադարեցնելու իր կոչը՝ կորոնավիրուսի ճգնաժամի հետ կապված։
«Մեզ միջազգային հանրության զանգվածային աջակցություն է անհրաժեշտ»,- ասել է նա: «Մեզ պետք է զանգվածային աջակցություն բոլոր նրանցից, ովքեր ազդեցություն ունեն հակամարտության կողմերի վրա, որպեսզի մինչեւ տարեվերջ դադարեցնեն հակամարտությունների այս բոլոր ավելի դրամատիկ իրավիճակները»:
Գուտերեշը նշել է ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության գոտում վերջին սրացումը: «Վերջին երկու շաբաթվա ընթացքում Հայաստանում COVID-19-ի դեպքերի թիվը կրկնապատկվել է, իսկ Ադրբեջանում այն աճել է 80 տոկոսով»,- ասել է նա: «Հայաստանը չի հաղթում, Ադրբեջանը չի հաղթում։ Հաղթում է COVID-19-ը: Մենք պետք է կանգ առնենք »:
Գուտերեշն ասել է, որ նույնը կարելի է ասել Լիբիայի, Եմենի, Սիրիայի, Աֆղանստանի, աֆրիկյան Սահել շրջանի եւ այլ հակամարտությունների մասին:
«Ես այստեղ եմ՝ նրանց բոլորին կոչ անելու հասկանալ, որ պատերազմում անհնար է հաղթել»,- ասել է նա: «Միակ ճանապարհը ուժերը միավորելն է` զինադադարի, քաղաքական բանակցությունների եւ COVID-ի դեմ հաղթանակի համար: Եթե ոչ, ապա միակ հաղթողը համավարակն է»:
Գուտերեշը նշել է, որ Ռուսաստանի եւ Ֆրանսիայի նախաձեռնությունները չեն կարողացել դադարեցնել ռազմական գործողությունները Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում:
Նա հույս է հայտնել, որ ուրբաթ օրը Վաշինգտոնում Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի արտգործնախարարների հետ ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մայք Պոմպեոյի առանձին հանդիպումներից հետո հրադադար կհաստատվի:
ՄԱԿ-ի ղեկավարն ասել է, որ ուժերի ավելի քիչ հստակ գլոբալ հարաբերակցության պատճառով «մի շարք փոքր եւ միջին խաղացողներ սկսել են շատ ավելի մեծ ակտիվություն ցուցաբերել հակամարտությունների ստեղծման կամ հակամարտության կողմերին աջակցելու հարցում»: Գուտերեշը հույս է հայտնել, որ առանցքային հակամարտությունների վրա Անվտանգության խորհրդի վետոյի իրավունք ունեցող հինգ մշտական անդամների՝ Միացյալ Նահանգների, Ռուսաստանի, Չինաստանի, Բրիտանիայի եւ Ֆրանսիայի միասնությունը «կօգնի մեզ ճնշում գործադրել նրանց վրա, ովքեր դեռ չեն հավատում, որ ոչ ոք չի կարող հաղթել պատերազմում»: «Միակ ճանապարհն է՝ պատերազմը դադարեցնել, քաղաքական գործընթաց սկսել եւ թույլ չտալ, որ COVID-ը միակ հաղթողը լինի»:
