Արցախում մարտական գործողությունների ժամանակ զոհվել է Արցախի Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարարության Սփյուռքի բաժնի պետ Երվանդ Հաջիյանը: Այս մասին հայտնում են ԱՀ ԱԳՆ աշխատակազմից:
«Նա զոհվել է առաջնագծում, որտեղ որպես կամավոր մեկնել է Ադրբեջանի կողմից Արցախի դեմ սանձազերծված նոր պատերազմի հենց սկզբից:
Կյանքից հեռացավ մի մարդ, ով անչափ սիրում էր Հայաստանն ու Արցախը՝ որպես նրա բաղկացուցիչ մաս: Մարդ, ով անձնվիրաբար նվիրված էր իր հայրենիքին, իր ժողովրդին, իր ընտանիքին: Արցախցի հայտնի քաղաքագետ և լրագրող Միքայել Հաջիյանի ընտանիքում էր, որ ձևավորվեց Երվանդի՝ որպես իսկական հայրենասերի կերպարը, ով իր կյանքը չտարանջատեց Արցախի ճակատագրից, հենց ընտանիքում նա դարձավ իր հանրապետության իսկական քաղաքացի: Եվ երբ Արցախի Հանրապետության վրա նոր վտանգ կախվեց, Երվանդը, առանց երկմտելու և հապաղելու, հետևեց իր ավագ եղբոր՝ Նորայրի օրինակին, ով հազիվ պատանի հասակում դարձավ 1992-94 թթ. ղարաբաղյան առաջին պատերազմի մասնակից, իսկ 2016թ. ապրիլին որպես կամավոր մասնակցեց պատերազմին ու նահատակվեց: Երվանդը արժանի եղավ իր հերոս եղբոր հիշատակին՝ իր կյանքը նվիրելով հանուն Արցախի անկախության և իր հայրենակիցների արժանապատիվ կյանքի:
Արցախի Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունում իր քսանամյա գործունեության ողջ ընթացքում Երվանդ Հաջիյանն առանձնանում էր բարձր արհեստավարժությամբ և բազմագիտակությամբ, աշխատանքի հանդեպ բարեխիղճ և պատասխանատու վերաբերմունքով: Լինելով պարտաճանաչ անձնավորություն՝ նա անմնացորդ նվիրվում էր աշխատանքին, կիրառում էր մասնագիտական ողջ գիտելիքներն ու կազմակերպչական հմտությունները՝ իր առջև դրված խնդիրը լուծելու համար: Մեր գերատեսչության բոլոր աշխատակիցները մշտապես առանձնացնում էին նրա՝ որպես կիրթ անհատի կերպարը, ընդգծված պարկեշտությունն ու առաքինությունը, գործընկերների նկատմամբ հարգանքը, նրանց կարծիքը լսելու և գնահատելու ունակությունը:
Մեր ընկերոջ և գործընկերոջ` որպես իսկական հայրենասերի, պրոֆեսիոնալ և լավ մարդու վառ հիշատակը հավերժ կմնա մեր սրտերում: Հանգչի՛ր խաղաղությամբ, Երվանդ:
Այս դժվար պահին Արցախի Հանրապետության ԱԳՆ աշխատակազմն իր խորին ցավակցությունն է հայտնում Երվանդի ընտանիքին, նրա հարազատներին ու մերձավորներին, մաղթում նրանց ոգու կորով, արիություն և համբերություն»:
