Հայկական կողմի խնդիրը պաշտպանվելն է, որովհետև Ադրբեջանը ձեռնարկել է հարձակում՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ուղղությամբ: Այս մասին «Ալ Ջազիրա»-ին տված հարցարզույցում ասել է ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:

«Ես արդեն ասացի, որ մեր խնդիրը պաշտպանվելն է, քանի որ Ադրբեջանը ձեռնարկել է հարձակում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ուղղությամբ: Եվ, բնականաբար, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հայության խնդիրն այս ագրեսիայից պաշտպանվելն է»,-ասել է Փաշինյանը:

 

Լրագրողը ռեպորտաժում նկատել է, որ այս բախումը ամենալուրջն է 1994-ի հրադադարից հետո: Նա նաև հարցրել է, թե ի՞նչ կարող էր անել հայկական կողմը՝ կանգնեցնելու այս բռնկումը , կյանքների կորուստը: Փաշինյանը պատասխանել է. «Դրա համար միայն մի տարբերակ կա՝ տրվել Ադրբեջանի շանտաժներին և սպառնալիքներին , ինչը չի կարող Հայաստանի և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի համար ընդունելի լինել»:
