Որևէ դատավորի հետ որևէ թեկնածություն չեմ քննարկել, կարող եմ ենթադրել, որ ՍԴ որոշակի անդամներ միմյանց հետ որոշակի քննարկումներ ունենում են, ես այդ ամբողջից տեղյակ չեմ. այսօր լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց ՍԴ նախկին նախագահ Հրայր Թովմասյանը՝ անդրադառնալով ՍԴ նախագահի և նրա տեղակալների այսօր կայանալիք ընտրությանը, ավելացնելով, որ քվեարկությունը գաղտնի է լինելու և չի հանրայնացվելու, թե ով ինչպես է քվերակել:

  «Այս գործընթացը դարի հարց մի դարձրեք, որովհետև Սահմանադրական դատարանի նախագահն իր հիմնական ֆունկցիան իրականացնելիս ոչնչով չի տարբերվում ՍԴ մյուս դատավորներից: Նախագահն ունի մի առաքելություն՝ ՍԴ-ի բնականոն գործունեությունն ապահովվելը, և հարցադրումները, ընտրությունն էլ պետք է կատարվի այդ ասպեկտով: Սա քաղաքական ընտրություններ և քաղաքական հայացքների պայքար չէ, նույնիսկ անձերի պայքար չպետք է դիտարկել, փոքր պրոցեդուրա է»,- նշեց նա:

Հարցին, թե կողմ է, որ ՍԴ նախագահը լինի ՍԴ նոր անդամներից, Հրայր Թովմասյանը նշեց, որ իր քվեարկությունը կատարելիս առաջնորդվելու է երեք գործոնով ՝ հաշվի է առնելու պրոֆեսիոնալ և մարդկային հատկանիշները, որ տվյալ անձը ունակ լինի ՍԴ -ում ապահովվել այնպիսի մթնոլորտ, որը հնարավորություն կտա մյուս անդամներին աշխատել և երրորդ գործոնը՝ վարչական և կազմակերպչական ունակություններն են:

Հարցին, թե ՍԴ-ի շուրջ տեղի ունեցած գործողություններից հետո արդյո՞ք հեշտ է իր համար  աշխատանքը ՍԴ-ում շարունակելը, Հրայր Թովմասյանը պատասխանեց, որ իր գործունեության, մասնակցության վերաբերյալ հստակ որոշում դեռ չունի, կախված է իրավիճակից և հանգամանքներից:

Անդրադառնալով երեկ ժամեր տևած նիստին՝ Հրայր Թովմասյանը նշեց, որ ՍԴ-ում այս պահին  երեք նոր անդամ կա, որոնց չեն ճանաչում, և նրանց ճանաչելու, հարցեր տալու կարիք կա, իսկ երեկ առարկայական քննարկում չի եղել, սակայն ենթադրում է, որ կլինի մի քանի թեկնածու:
