Տեղեկատվության ստուգման կենտրոնը տարածել է հայտարարություն, որում ասված է.

«Ադրբեջանական լրատվական կայքերը տեղեկություն են տարածել, թե իբր Ռուսաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը այսօր Մոսկվայում Ադրբեջանի Միլլի Մեջլիսի ղեկավար Ս. Գաֆարովայի գլխավորած պատվիրակության հետ հանդիպման ընթացքում հայտարարել է, որ «Ռուսաստանը կողմ է արտահայտվել արցախյան 5 շրջանների՝ Ադրբեջանին վերադարձին», և որ  «Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի դիրքորոշումը Ղարաբաղյան հիմնահարցի վերաբերյալ խոչընդոտում է խաղաղ գործընթացի կարգավորմանը»։

Հատկանշական է, որ ոչ ՌԴ ԱԳՆ տարածած հաղորդագրության, և ոչ էլ հանդիպման տեսանյութում նման որևէ միտք չի հնչում, տեղեկատվության միակ աղբյուրը՝ ադրբեջանական պետական քարոզչությունը սպասարկող լրատվակայքերն են։Հարցին անդրադարձել է նաև Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության արտաքին գերատեսչության մամուլի խոսնակ Մարիա Զախարովան՝ հայտնելով, որ հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են Ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման հարցերը։ Նախարար Լավրովի կողմից չի արվել նախկինում չբարձրաձայնված որևէ նոր հայտարարություն։

Զախարովան նաև կոչ է արել հիմք ընդունել ՌԴ ԱԳՆ պաշտոնական հայտարարությունը, այլ ոչ՝ ադրբեջանական կողմի մեկնաբանությունները։ Հիշեցնենք, որ ՌԴ ԱԳՆ տարածած պաշտոնական հայտարարության մեջ 5 շրջանների վերադարձի մասին որևէ միտք առկա չէ»։
