ԱՄՆ Գերագույն դատարանի ավագ դատավոր Ռութ Բեյդեր Գինզբուրգը մահացել է ենթաստամոքսային գեղձի քաղցկեղի առաջացրած բարդությունների հետեւանքով, փոխանցում է CNN-ն։
Նա 87 տարեկան էր։
1993 թվականին ԳԻնզբուրգին Գերագույն դատարանի դատավոր էր նշանակել ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բիլ Քլինթոնը, վերջին տարիներին նա դատարանի լիբերալ թեւի ամենաբարձրաստիճան անդամն էր՝ հետեւողականորեն զբաղվելով առավել սուր սոցիալական հարցերով, ներառյալ աբորտի իրավունքը, նույնասեռական ամուսնությունները, ձայնի իրավունքը, ներգաղթը, առողջապահությունը։
Գինզբուրգի մահից հետո Գերագույն դատարանում նրա տեղը կստանա ԱՄՆ գործող նախագահ Դոնալրդ Թրամփի թեկնածուն։
ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալրդ ԹրամփըTwitter-ի իր միկրոբլոգում հայտարարություն է հրապարակել՝ դատավոր Գինզբուրգի մահվան կապակցությամբ, որում նրան անվանել է «օրենքի տիտան»։
«Մինչեւ վերջ մարտիկ դատավոր Գինզբուրգը պայքարում էր քաղցկեղի եւ իր ամբողջ ականավոր կյանքի ընթացքում այլ դժվարությունների դեմ։ Մեր մտքերն ու աղոթքները այս դժվար պահին Գինզբուրգ ընտանիքի, նրանց մտերիմների հետ են։ Թող նրա հիշատակը մեծ օրհնանք լինի աշխարհին»,- նշված է ԱՄՆ նախագահի հայտարարության մեջ։
