Բելառուսում ծավալվող զարգացումները առիթ են դարձել հայաստանյան քաղաքական շրջանակների համար, որոնք մինչ այդ էլ փորձում էին առավելագույնն անել Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած թավշյա հեղափոխությունը որպես գունավոր հեղափոխություն ներկայացնելու համար և զբաղված են այդ գործով մինչ այսօր: Բելառուսի իրադարձություններն ու Ռուսաստանի դիրքավորումը նրանց տվել են նոր առիթ բարձրաձայնելու, որ Հայաստանում էլ կատարվել է հակառուսական հեղափոխություն: Այդօրինակ վերջին բավականին թափանցիկ ակնարկները հնչել էին Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի հարցազրույցում, որ նա տվել էր ՌԲԿ գործակալությանը: Թեև, երկրորդ նախագահը այդ քարոզչության միակ կրողը կամ տարածողը չէ, դա քաղաքական գիծ է, որ կիրառում են ամենատարբեր խմբեր և շրջանակներ նաև Ռուսաստանից: Ամբողջ հարցն այն է, սակայն, որ Բելառուսը, կարծես թե, հակառակի վկայությունն է, և այն, որպես Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցածի «հակառուսականության», այսպես ասած, վկայություն կամ փաստարկ ներկայացնելը, կարծես թե, այդքան էլ հարթ չէ: Որովհետև առաջանում է հարց, թե այդ դեպքում ինչո՞ւ Հայաստանի իրադարձությունների հանդեպ ոչ միայն չեղավ Ռուսաստանի կոշտ միջամտություն, այլ ավելին՝ Ռուսաստանն, ըստ էության, ուշադրության չարժանացրեց Հայաստանից հայցերն ու դիմումները, որ հնչում էին ապրիլի 25-ից սկսած, երբ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հրաժարական էր տվել, և իշխանության առաջին գիծ էր դուրս եկել վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանը՝ կամա, թե ակամա:

 Ինչո՞ւ Մոսկվան բավարար աջակցություն չցուցաբերեց նրան իշխանության պահելու համար: Ասել, թե բախվեց հայ ժողովրդին, կլինի միամիտ: Ի վերջո, եթե բանը ժողովուրդն էր, ապա Բելառուսում էլ պակաս ժողովուրդ չէ, բայց մի դեպքում Ռուսաստանը չխառնվեց, մյուսում՝ դարձել է բաց խաղացող: Կենսական նշանակության առումով էլ, Հայաստանը պակաս նշանակալի չէ Ռուսաստանի համար, քան Բելառուսը: Հետևաբար՝ խնդիրներն ու տեղի ունեցողն այլ է, և, ըստ այդմ, ջանքը՝ Բելառուսը ներկայացնել որպես Հայաստանի թավշյա հեղափոխության դեմ ռուսական տրամադրություն գեներացնելու միջոց, մի կողմից պարզապես խնդիր ունի ազգային արժանապատվության հետ, մյուս կողմից՝ քաղաքական անհամարժեքության:
