1873 –ծնվել է հասարակական-քաղաքական գործիչ Ավետիս Թերզիբաշյանը։
1916 –ծնվել է օպերային մեցցո-սոպրանո երգչուհի Տաթևիկ Սազանդարյանը։
1940 –ծնվել է նկարիչ Վարոս Շահմուրադյանը։
1991– ԼՂՀ-ի և Շահումյանի շրջանի ժողովրդական պատգամավորների համատեղ նիստում հայտարարվել է ԽՍՀՄ-ից Արցախի Հանրապետության անկախացումը ըստ գործող ԽՍՀՄ օրենքների։
1997 –վախճանվել է օպերային երգիչ, տենոր Արթուր Այդինյանը։
2005-«Հանրապետություն» կուսակցության քաղխորհրդի 15 անդամներից 7-ը՝ Ալբերտ Բազեյանի և Վաղարշակ Հարությունյանի գլխավորությամբ, կուսակցությունից դուրս գալու մասին համատեղ դիմում են ներկայացրել:
2013- վախճանվել է հրապարակախոս, թարգմանիչ, Հայաստանի մշակույթի վաստակավոր գործիչ, Հայաստանի գրողների միության նախագահ Լևոն Անանյանը։
2018-«Իմ քայլը» դաշինքի քաղաքապետի թեկնածու Հայկ Մարությանը կատարել է իր հանրահայտ հայտարարությունը՝ «Կան սպիտակ և սև ուժեր... Մեր թիմի դեմ խաղ չկա»:
2019-Հայաստանը քաղաքական ապաստան է տվել ռուս ընդդիմադիր, ուլտրաաջ հասարակական- քաղաքական գործիչ Վիտալի Շիշկինին, որը մասնակցել է հակակառավարական ցույցերի ոչ միայն Ռուսաստանում, այլ նաև Ուկրաինայում, Հայաստանում, Թուրքիայում և Մոլդովայում:

1652 -վախճանվել է իսպանացի գեղանկարիչ և գրաֆիկ Խոսե դե Ռիբերան։
1727 -Վիտաուս Բերինգի գլխավորությամբ արշավախումբ է ուղարկվել Կամչատկայի Օխոտսկ։
1752 - Մեծ Բրիտանիան անցել է Գրիգորյան օրացույցի:
1792 -Ֆրանսիայում սկսվել են «սեպտեմբերյան սպանությունները»՝ հեղափոխական ամբոխի կողմից բանտարկյալների ինքնադատաստանները։
1806 - Շվեյցարիայում սողանքն ավերել է Գոլդաու գյուղը, վախճանվել է 457 մարդ:
1829- ռուսական զորքերը հաղթարշավով հասել են Կոստանդնուպոլսի մատույցներին, և սուլթանի խնդրանքով Ադրիանապոլսում կնքվել է հաշտության պայմանագիր, ըստ որի, Սև ծովի արևելյան ափերը Փոթի նավահանգստով, Ախալցխան ու Ախալքալաքը անցել են Ռուսաստանին։
