Օգոստոսի 31-ի գիշերը «Արմավիր» բժշկական կենտրոնից ոստիկանության Արմավիրի բաժնում հաղորդում էր ստացվել, որ «ալկոհոլային ինտոքսիկացիա» ախտորոշմամբ շտապ բուժօգնության են տեղափոխվել Արմավիրի քաղաքի 4 բնակիչ, որոնցից երկուսը մահացել են, իսկ երկուսը գտնվում են վերակենդանացման բաժանմունքում։ Արդեն սեպտեմբերի լույս 1-ի գիշերը ոստիկանության Արմավիրի բաժնում թունավորված քաղաքացիների հոսպիտալացման վերաբերյալ հաղորդումներ ստացվեցին մայրաքաղաքի տարբեր բժշկական կենտրոններից։ Նախնական տվյալներով՝ շուրջ մեկ տասնյակ անձ մահացել է, կան հոսպիտալացվածներ։

Արմավիրի քրեական հետախույզների օպերատիվ միջոցառումների արդյունքում տեղեկություններ են ստացվել, որ նրանք թունավորվել են Արմավիր քաղաքի բնակչից 50-ամյա Աշոտ Հովսեփյանից գնած, տնային պայմաններում պատրաստված, անհայտ ծագման օղին խմելու հետևանքով։ Նա հայտնաբերվել, բերման է ենթարկվել ոստիկանության Արմավիրի բաժին, ապա ներկայացվել դեպքի նախաքննությունը վարող մարմնին։ Աշոտ Հովսեփյանը անվտանգության պահանջներին չհամապատասխանող ապրանքներ իրացնելու կասկածանքով ձերբակալվել է:

 Հարուցված քրեական գործի շրջանակներում ձեռնարկված օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումների և քննչական գործողությունների արդյունքում ձերբակալվածի տանը հայտնաբերվել է մոտ 200 լիտր տնային պայմաններում պատրաստված օղի։ Ձեռնարկվում են անհրաժեշտ միջոցառումներ այդ օղուց գնած անձանց հայտնաբերելու, ինչպեսև վտանգավոր արտադրանքը շրջանառությունից ամբողջովին դուրս բերելու ուղղությամբ։ Բոլոր այն քաղաքացիներին, որոնք ալկոհոլային խմիչք են գնել վերոնշյալ անձից, հորդորում ենք չօգտագործել այն և դիմել իրավապահ մարմիններ։
