INTERNATIONAL NEWSԿանադան լրացուցիչ 25 միլիոն դոլար օգնություն կտրամադրի Լիբանանին` երկիրը վերակառուցելու համար Բեյրութում տեղի ունեցած ավերիչ պայթյունից հետո, հայտնում է Global News-ը:
Այս գումարը կավելացվի նախկինում հայտարարված 5 միլիոն դոլարին` ընդհանուր 30 միլիոն դոլար կազմելով:
Այս կապակցությամբ Կանադայի վարչապետ Զասթին Թրյուդոն հանդես է եկել պաշտոնական հայտարարությամբ:
«Ես միանում եմ հանրապետության բոլոր կանադացիներին, ով սգում է անցյալ երեքշաբթի Բեյրութում տեղի ունեցած ողբերգական ռմբակոծության հետեւանքով զոհվածների համար եւ սրտանց ցավակցություն եմ հայտնում նրանց ընտանիքներին եւ ընկերներին... Միասին մենք կարող ենք աջակցել Լիբանանի ժողովրդին նրա բուժվելու եւ վերակառուցելու ջանքերում»,- նշվում է Կանադայի վարչապետի հայտարարության մեջ:
Հիշեցնենք, որ օգոստոսի 4-ին Բեյրութի նավահանգստում ավերիչ պայթյուն էր տեղի ունեցել: Ողբերգության արդյունքում, ըստ վերջին տվյալների, մահացել է մոտ 200 մարդ, վիրավորվել է մոտ 6000 մարդ, հազարավոր մարդիկ մնացել են անօթեւան: Հարյուրավոր տներ վնասվել եւ ավերվել են:
Երկրի Ներքին գործերի նախարարության տվյալներով` պայթյունի պատճառը 2.7 տոննա ամոնիումի նիտրատի բռնկումն էր, որը տեղի է ունեցել եռակցման աշխատանքների ժամանակ:
