Նախկին ռեժիմի ներկայացուցիչների համար դա կենսական հարց է, քան որ ներկայիս ՍԴ-ն նրանց անվտանգության որոշակի երաշխիք է: ԲՀԿ-ն փորձում է Սահմանադրական դատարանում վիճարկել մեծամասնության ընդունած օրինագծերը, ինչը հնարավորություն կտա կասեցնել ՍԴ կազմի փոփոխությունը: Սահմանադրական վեճը թեժացավ Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովի կարծիքից հետո, որը կողմերը մեկնաբանում են սեփական դիրքերից:
Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հրաժարականն են պահանջում մի շարք կուսակցություններ ու խմբեր, որոնք ասոցացվում են նախկին համակարգի հետ: Խոսվում է ընդդիմադիրների համախմբման ու հուշագիր ստորագրելու մասին: Միեւնույն ժամանակ, մինչ այժմ նկատվում են որոշակի տարաձայնություններ, որոնք հնարավոր է կապված են նախկին համակարգի ներսում վաղուց առկա հավակնությունների, շահերի ու խնդիրների հետ:

Իշխանության համար մի կողմից թվում է բարդանում է իրավիճակը, քանի որ այս ուժերը տիրապետում են ներքին ու արտաքին մեծ ռեսուրսների եւ ի վիճակի են իրականացնել լուրջ գործողություններ: Մյուս կողմից, իշխանության համար ստեղծվում է իդեալական իրավիճակ՝ բոլորին մի տեղում «համախմբելու» առումով, եթե իհարկե իշխանությունը տիրապետում է նման տեխնոլոգիաների:
