Բրազիլիան կորոնավիրուսի զոհերի թվով անցել է Մեծ Բրիտանիայից եւ այս ցուցանիշով հայտնվել աշխարհում երկրորդ տեղում: Այս մասին վկայում են ուրբաթ երեկոյան երկրի Առողջապահության նախարարության նոր պորտալում թարմացված տվյալները, փոխանցում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:

Ըստ վերջին ամփոփագրի՝ լատինաամերիկյան երկրում նոր կորոնավիրուսի առաջացրած հիվանդության մահվան ելքերի թիվը մեկ օրում մեծացել է 909-ով՝ հասնելով մինչեւ 41 828-ի: Նույն ժամանակ հայտնաբերվել է վարակման 25 982 նոր դեպք, ընդհանուր թիվն աճել է մինչեւ 828 810: Ապաքինվել է 365 063 պացիենտ, որոնցից 19 468-ը՝ վերջին մեկ օրում:

Երկրում ինֆեկցիայի տարածման էպիկենտրոնն է հարավարեւելյան Սան Պաուլու նահանգը եւ նրա նույնանուն մայրաքաղաքը, որի ագլոմերացիայում բնակվում է 21 մլն մարդուց ավելի: Նահանգում կան մոտ 167 900 հազար վարակակիրներ եւ 10 368 մահացածներ:

Վարակվածների թվով երկրորդն է հարեւան Ռիո դե Ժանեյրոն (77 784 վարակվածներ), որտեղ կորոնավիրուսի հետեւանքով մահացել է 7 417 մարդ, երրորդը հյուսիսարեւելյան նահանգ Սեարան (75 705 վարակակիրներ եւ 4 788 մահացածներ): Ծանր իրավիճակ է ստեղծվում հյուսիսարելյան Պեռնամբուկու (43 872 հազար վարակակիր եւ 3 694  մահացածներ) եւ Մարանյան (57 605 վարակակիրներ եւ 1 399 մահացածներ) նահանգներում, ինչպես նաեւ երկրի հյուսիսային Ամազոնա (55 111 վարակակիրներ եւ 2 429 մահացածներ) եւ Պարա (66 328 վարակակիրներ եւ 4 132 մահացածներ) նահանգներում:
