 Ռուս-թուրքական հարաբերությունների գերլարման ֆոնին պաշտոնական Անկարան շարունակում է ինքն իրեն մխիթարող հայտարարություններ անել՝ ցույց տալու համար, որ երկիրը տնտեսական կախում չունի Ռուսաստանից: Կատարի հետ հեղուկ բնական գազ գնելու մասին պայմանավորվածության գալուց հետո պաշտոնական Անկարան հայտարարել է, որ նախատե սում է բնական գազ և նավթ գնելու վերաբերյալ պայմանագրեր կնքել Թուրքմենստանի և Ադրբեջանի հետ: Վկայակոչելով թուրքական «Միլլիեթ» պարբերականը, այս մասին հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի փոխվարչապետ և կառավարության խոսնակ Նուման Քուրթուլմուշը:

«Բական գազի և նավթի հարցում Թուրքիան արտաքին աշխարհից կախում ունեցող երկիր է: Հուսով եմ, որ այս հարցում որևէ ճգնաժամ չի լինի: Սակայն հենց նման խնդրից խուսափելու համար նախագահը հեղուկ բնական գազի ներկրման վերաբերյալ նոր համաձայնագիր է ստորագրել Կատարի հետ: Ադրբեջանի և Թուրքմենստանի հետ ևս նման համաձայնագրեր կարող են կնքվել»,- ասել է Քուրթուլմուշը:

Թուրքական BOTAŞ նավթագազային ընկերությունը դեկտեմբերի 2-ին նախնական պայմանավորվածություն է ձեռք բերել Կատարի Ազգային նավթային ընկերության հետ երկարաժամկետ պայմանագրով հեղուկ բնական գազ գնելու մասին: Նախկինում այդ երկրից հեղուկ գազի ներկրումն իրականացվում էր կարճաժամկետ պայմանագրերով: Հուշագիրը ստորագրվել է Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի` Կատար կատարած այցի շրջանակում: Գործակալության տեղեկացմամբ` կողմերը սկսել են պայմանագրի նախապատրաստումը, որը կստորագրվի առաջիկայում:
