SOCIETYՆ․Ս․Օ․Տ․Տ․ Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն ուղերձ է հղել Հայոց Ցեղասպանության սուրբ նահատակների հիշատակի օրվա առթիվ:
«Սիրելի ժողովուրդ հայոց ի հայրենիս եւ ի սփյուռս,
Այսօր ազգովի վերստին մեր խոնարհումն ենք բերում Հայոց Ցեղասպանության մեր սուրբ նահատակներին, ովքեր իրենց կյանքը զոհեցին հանուն հավատի եւ hայրենիքի:
Ցեղասպանության տարիներին մեր ժողովուրդը տեսավ մեկ եւ կես միլիոն իր զավակների սպանդը, իր ազգային-հոգեւոր արժեքների, մեր սրբավայրերի, վանքերի ու եկեղեցիների, մեր գյուղերի ու քաղաքների ավերումը, կորցրեց իր պատմական հայրենիքի մեծագույն մասը։ Մեր նահատակները, ահավոր տառապանքների միջով անցնելով, «մասնակից դարձան Քրիստոսի չարչարանքներին, կերպարանակից՝ Նրա մահվան, ժառանգակից Հարության» (հմմտ․ Փիլիպ. 3.10) եւ աննկուն մնալով հավատքի մեջ՝ անպարտելի եղան ոգով ու մահվանից հավիտենական կյանք փոխադրվեցին՝ արժանանալով սրբերի անթառամ լուսեպսակին։
Սիրելիներ, այս տարի համավարակի պատճառով հնարավորություն չունենք ուխտավորաբար քայլելու դեպի Ծիծեռնակաբերդի բարձունքը, համախմբվելու մեր եկեղեցիներում եւ հուշակոթողների առջեւ՝ մեր սուրբ նահատակների հիշատակը ոգեկոչելու համար։
Այս իրավիճակում ընտանեկան հարկերից ներս եւ մեր նահատակների անմար հիշատակի առջեւ հոգեւոր միասնությամբ աղոթենք եւ ուխտենք՝ իրագործել ազգային նվիրական տեսիլքները ազատ ու անկախ մեր հայրենիքի ապահովության, առաջընթացի ու բարօրության, սփյուռքի առավել շենացման, Հայոց Ցեղասպանության համընդհանուր ճանաչման ու դատապարտման, մեր արդար դատի՝ պահանջատիրության հաղթանակի։ Այս իղձերը կարող ենք կյանքի կոչել ազգի ու հայրենյաց հանդեպ պարտքի ու պատասխանատվության գիտակցությամբ, ազգային միաբանությամբ եւ մեր ջանքերը միավորելով՝ ի սեր հայրենյաց եւ հայոց լուսավոր գալիքի։
Սիրելի բարեպաշտ ժողովուրդ, հրավիրում ենք այս նվիրական օրը միասիրտ աղոթքով հայցել մեր սուրբ նահատակների բարեխոսությունը առ Աստված, որ հարուցյալ Քրիստոսի շնորհների եւ օրհնության ներքո խաղաղության ու համերաշխության մեջ ընթանա մեր կյանքը, հաղթահարենք մեր առջեւ ծառացած առկա փորձությունները, եւ Տիրոջ օրհնությունն ու խնամքը հովանի լինեն մեր hայրենիքին ու աշխարհասփյուռ մեր ժողովրդին այսօր եւ միշտ. ամեն։
