VIDEOՄարտի լույս 19-ի գիշերը, ժամը 5.20-ի սահմաններում, ոստիկանության Երևան քաղաքի վարչության օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոնից Կենտրոնական բաժնում հաղորդում ստացվեց, որ Եկմալյան 1/1 շենքում կրակոցներ են հնչել։ Մեկնած օպերատիվ-քննչական խմբերը, փորձաքրեագետներն ու Կենտրոն վարչական շրջանը սպասարկող պարեկայինները պարզեցին, որ շենքի բնակիչներից մեկը անկանոն կրակոցներ է արձակել նախ շքամուտքի, ապա բնակարանի դռան մոտ՝ աներոջ ուղղությամբ։ 47-ամյա տղամարդը տեղում մահացել էր։ Դեպքի վայրում հայտնաբերվեցին գործարանային համարով «Կալաշնիկով» ինքնաձիգ, ատրճանակ, որսորդական հրացան, ինքնաձիգի փամփուշտի 10-ից ավելի կրակված պարկուճ և այլն։ Ոստիկանության ծառայողները 35-ամյա կասկածվողին հայտնաբերեցին, վնասազերծեցին ու բերման ենթարկեցին Կենտրոնական բաժին։ Նա ներկայացվել է տարածքային քննչական բաժին, տվել է խոստովանական ցուցմունք ու ձերբակալվել։ Նշանակվել են փորձաքննություններ։ Հարուցված քրեական գործի շրջանակներում ձեռնարկվում են օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումներ ու քննչական գործողություններ՝ առանձնապես ծանր հանցագործության հանգամանքները պարզելու ուղղությամբ։
