2008-նախագահի թեկնածու, Հայաստանի առաջին նախագահ Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանը, որի կողմնակիցները ամեն օր հանրահավաքներ են կազմակերպել Երևանի Ազատության հրապարակում, համոզմունք է հայտնել, որ իշխանությունները չեն համարձակվի ուժ կիրառել ցուցարարների դեմ:
ԱՇԽԱՐՀ
1288- Շոտլանդիայում հայտարարել են, որ այդ օրվա ընթացքում կանայք կարող են տղամարդկանց առաջարկություն անել։
1504- Քրիստափոր Կոլումբոսը օգտագործել է լուսնի խավարումը վախեցնելու համար Յամայկայի՝ թշնամաբար տրամադրված բնիկ հնդկացիներին։
1696 -Պետրոս 1-ինը ժամանել է Վորոնեժ, որպեսզի անձամբ ղեկավարի Ազով քաղաքի վրա հարձակման համար նախատեսվող նավերի կառուցումը։
1720 -Շվեդիայի թագուհի Ուլրիկա Էլեանորան հրաժարվել է գահից հօգուտ իր ամուսնու՝ Լանդգրաֆ Ֆրիդրիխ Հասսեն-Կասսելսկու։
1732 -վախճանվել է ֆրանսիացի նկարիչ, փորագրիչ, վարպետ-կահույքագործ ԱնդրեՇարլ Բուլը։
1784 -ծնվել է գերմանացի ճարտարապետ, նկարիչ, գրող, նեոհունական ոճի հիմնադիր Լեո ֆոն Կլենցեն։
1792- ծնվել է իտալացի կոմպոզիտոր, «Սևիլ յան սափրիչ» օպերայի հեղինակ Ջոակինո Ռոսսինին։ 1840 -ծնվել է ամերիկացի ինժեներ, ժամանակակից սուզանավերի կառուցվածքի ստեղծող Ջոն Ֆիլիպ Հոլանդը։
1880 -ավարտվել է Ալպերով անցնող Հոտարդ թունելի շինարարությունը, որը կապել է Իտալիան Շվեյցարիայի հետ։
1888 -ամերիկացի ինժեներ Հերման Հոլլանդը ստեղծել է տաբուլ յատորը՝ առաջին էլեկտրական հաշվիչ մեքենան։
1904-ծնվել է ամերիկացի դիրիժոր, շեփորահար, ջազի և սվինգի ամերիկյան լեգենդ Գլեն Միլլերը։
1908 -վախճանվել է ամերիկյան շերիֆ Պետ Հարրետը, որը հանրաճանաչ է դարձել նրանով, որ 1881 թվականին գնդակահարել է հանրահայտ հանցագործ Փոքրիկ Բիլլիին։
1936 -Նիլս Բորը առաջարկել է ատոմի միջուկի կառուցվածքի վարկածը։
1952 -ձևավոր չմշկավազքի վարպետ Դիկ Բատտոնը հինգերորդ անգամ դարձել է աշխարհի չեմպիոն։
1952 -ծնվել է խորհրդային դահուկորդուհի Ռաիսա Սմետանինան, որը բազմակի օլիմպիական չեմպիոն է։ 1956- Պակիստանը դարձել է հանրապետություն։
1960 -հզոր երկրաշարժը 15 վայրկյանի ընթացքում ավերել է Մարոկկոյի Ագադիր բնակավայրը, որի արդյունքում զոհվել է բնակավայրի բնակչության մեկ երրորդը՝ 15 հազար մարդ։
1996 -Պերուի Արեկիպոյ տարածքում վթարվել է Boeing 737 ինքնաթիռը, որը Պերուի պատմության մեջ ամենախոշոր ավիացիոն վթարն է. զոհվել է 123 մարդ։
2000 -Չեչնիայի 776 բարձրունքում սկսվել է ճակատամարտ, որի ժամանակ 90 պսկովյան դեսանտնիկներ դիմակայել են մոտ 2 000 չեչեն գրոհայինների, 90 դեսանտնիկներից կենդանի է մնացել վեցը։
2004 -Հաիթիում Ժան-Բերտրան Արիստիդայի գահընկեցությունից հետո նախագահի պաշտոնակատար է դարձել Հաիթիի Գերագույն դատարանի դատավոր Բոնիֆաս Ալեքսանդրը։ 2008-վախճանվել է ամերիկացի ֆանտաստ գրող Ջանեթ Կագանը։
