Մեզ համար հիմա ամենակարեւոր աշխատանքն այն է, որ Ամերիկայի կողմից Արցախին տրվող օգնությունը շարունակական լինի: Այս մասին, այսօր՝ փետրվարի 24-ին, լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց ՀՅԴ ԱՄՆ Հայ Դատի հանձնաժմբի ներկայացուցիչ Րաֆֆի Համբարյանը:
«Այստեղ գործունեության մեծ դաշտ կա, այդ բանավեճերը տեղի են ունենում Կոնգրեսում, Սպիտակ տան հետ, անձեր կան, որ ուզում են այդ օգնությունը դադարեցնել: Մենք այս հարցում պատերազմական դաշտում ենք: Նախորդ շաբաթ մոտ 40 հազար մեսիջ ենք ուղարկել Կոնգրես, 10 հազար ամերիկահայ նամակ է ուղարկել կոնգրեսականներին, որ այդ օգնությունը պետք է շարունակվի»,-ասաց նա:
Անդրադառնալով վերջերս ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող բանաձեւին, Րաֆֆի Համբարյանն ասաց. «Մեր նպատակն արդարության հասնելն է, իսկ դա կլինի, երբ որ Սպիտակ տունը եւս խախտի լռությունը Ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչելու հարցում:
Կոնգրեսի որոշումը դրական էր, հիմա հաջորդ քայլը Սպիտակ տունն է, երբ այդտեղ էլ մերժումը հաղթահարենք, արդարությունն ավելի մոտ կլինի հայ ժողովրդի համար: Մենք հիմա այդ պատերազմի դաշտում ենք եւ վստահ եմ, որ շահելու ենք: Արդարությունը գալու է, հարցը միայն ժամանակի մեջ է: Մեր աշխատանքը նրա համար է, որ այդ արդարությունն ավելի արագ գա»:
