Ասում են, որ իտալացիները շատ տաղանդավոր ժողովուրդ են: Ամենուր և մշտապես նրանք փորձում են փոխել շրջապատող աշխարհն ըստ իրենց աշխարհընկալման, երևակայության և տաքարյունության, իսկ բազմաթիվ այլ ժողովուրդներ ոչ միշտ են կարողանում ընկալել իտալացիների միտքը: 

Ջակուզի (հիդրոմերսման` ջրամերսման լոգարան) բառը յուրաքանչյուր ժամանակակից մարդու մտքում զուգակցվում է հանգստի, ռելաքսի և ազատ ժամանցի հետ: Իտալացիներն ասում են` անհնար կլիներ, որ դա իտալացիները հորինած չլինեին: Հիդրոմասաժորը հորինել է Իտալիայից Ամերիկա ներգաղթած Կանդիդո Ջակուզին անցյալ դարի կեսերին: Ինչպես և շատ այլ գյուտերի դեպքում, հիդրոմերսման լոգարանի ստեղծմանը Ջակուզիին դրդել է դժբախտությունը: 

Նրա որդին ծանր հիվանդ է եղել ռևմատոիդ արթրիտով, և բժիշկները նրա համար ջրային բուժում են նշանակել: Որդու տառապանքները թեթևացնելու համար 1948 թվականին Ջակուզին սկսել է փորձարկումներ կատարել: Նա վերցրել է ինքնաթիռի պոմպը և այն խորասուզել վաննայի մեջ:

 Եվ հենց այդպես էլ ստեղծվել է ներկայումս ամբողջ աշխարհին քաջ հայտնի ջակուզին: Գնահատելով նման պրոցեդուրայով որդու բուժման դրական արդյունքը՝ Կանդիդո Ջակուզին որոշել է իր գյուտը գործարարության վերածել: 

Սպառողները բավականին արագ ընդունել են Ջակուզիի լոգարանի առավելությունները, և արդեն 1950-ականների սկզբին այդ արտադրանքը կարելի էր գնել բժշկական սարքավորումներ վաճառող խանութներում և նույնիսկ հասարակ դեղատներում: 

Ջակուզիի տարածմանը և մասսայականացմանը մեծապես նպաստել են հոդացավերով այն հիվանդները, որոնք բուժվելու համար պատրաստ են ամեն ինչի, իսկ տեսնելով այդ պրոցեդուրայի որոշակի դրական արդյունքը՝ սկսել են այն խորհուրդ տալ իրենց ընկերներին և ծանոթներին: 

Ժամանակի ընթացքում հայտնաբերվել է ջակուզիի ևս մեկ դրական ազդեցություն՝ սթրեսը և հոգնածությունը թեթևացնելու ունակությունը: Դրանից հետո, սկսած 1955 թվականից, ջակուզիի վաճառք իրականացվել է նաև սովորական սանտեխնիկա վաճառող խանութներում: 

1968 թվականին «Jacuzzi Inc» ընկերությունը ստեղծել է առաջին տաք հիդրոմերսման լոգարանը, որն արդեն իսկ նման է եղել ինքնավար աշխատող ժամանակակից ջակուզիներին:

 Այս «վաննայի» պատերին ներկառուցվել են հատուկ անցքեր, որոնցով առանձին հիդրավլիկ պոմպի կողմից ստեղծված ճնշման տակ ջրաշիթերը մղվում են դրա մեջ: Ժամանակի ընթացքում ջակուզիները մեծ տարածում են գտել:

 Դրանք սկսել են տեղադրվել ամենուր՝ հյուրանոցներից, բժշկական և առողջապահական կենտրոններից սկսած՝ մինչև էլիտար մասնավոր տներ: Այս առումով, ջակուզի անունը դարձել է հարմարավետության և հարստության հոմանիշ: 

Առաջին ջակուզիի գյուտից երկու տարի անց հեղինակը ստեղծել է նաև հիդրոմերսման լողավազան մի քանի հոգու համար, որը, ըստ էության, մեծ ջակուզի է՝ հագեցած ջրի զտիչներով և ջեռուցման տարրերով: 

Ներկայումս «ջակուզի» անունը օգտագործվում է համարյա բոլոր հիդրոմերսման վաննաների համար:
