Հունվարի 5-ին՝ Երևանի բնակարաներից մեկում 26-ամյա Ռաֆայել Սուքիասյանը խեղդամահ էր արել 16-ամյա Սառա Կ-ին:
Սառայի մայրը «Սպուտնիկ Արմենիա»-ի հետ զրույցում նշել է, որ դուստրն իր հետ էր ապրում. «Երևան էր գնացել ծնունդը նշելու ընկերների հետ։ Մենք որոշել էինք, որ հունվարի 5-ին նա ընկերների հետ ծնունդը կնշի Երևանում, իսկ 6-ին` տանը, ընտանիքի հետ։ Ես նրան 15 հազար դրամ էի տվել ծնունդը նշելու համար։ Ու էդ անտեր փողի, կոտրված հեռախոսի ու պլանշետի համար, որ անգամ իրանը չէր, նրան սպանեց էդ ... (հայհոյանք)։ Կայքերում ստում են, էդ տղեն նրան ձեռք չի տվել (նկատի ունի սեռական մտերմությունը)»,- ասել է մայրը:
Ըստ աղբյուրի` վարձով բնակարանում, որտեղ գտել են Սառայի դին, ապրում էր նրա ընկերուհին։ Սառայի հեռախոսը կոտրվել էր, չէր աշխատում, նա ծանոթներից մեկից ժամանակավոր վերցրել էր պլանշետը, որը զանգելու հնարավորություն էլ ուներ։ Երեկոյան Սառան զանգահարել էր մայրիկին, ասել, որ պլանշետի մարտկոցը շուտով կնստի, գնում է ընկերուհու տնից իրերը վերցնի, հետո Արտաշատ կվերադառնա։
Երբ Սառան գիշերը չի վերադարձել, մայրը մտածել է, որ աղջիկը որոշել է ծննդյան օրը շարունակել նշել մայրաքաղաքում, գիշերը կմնա ընկերուհու մոտ և տուն կվերադառնա առավոտյան։ Սառան շաբաթվա ընթացքում մի քանի անգամ Երևան էր գնում դիմահարդարման մասնավոր դասընթացների, լավ մասնագետ դառնալու նպատակ ուներ։ Երբեմն գիշերում էր այդ ընկերուհու տանը։
Նելլի Կարապետյանը սարսափելի լուրն առավոտյան իմացել է աշխատավայրում։ Գործընկերը բարձրաձայն կարդացել է խեղդամահ եղած աղջկա մասին լուրը և ցույց տվել այն նույն լուսանկարը, որում երևում էին աղջկա ոտքերը։ Մայրը երեխային ճանաչել է ոտքերից...
«Ինչ էլ ասում էի, երեխեն բոբիկ ոտքերին էր կոշիկ հագնում։ Իրան մերկ չեն գտել, ես խոսել եմ քննիչների հետ։ Նրան ոչ բռնաբարել են, ոչ էլ ձեռք են տվել։ Էդ տղան խփել է աղջկաս ճակատին, հետո` խեղդել, մարմնին կապտած տեղերը կան», - դողացող ձայնով պատմում է Սառայի մայրը։
