Մեքսիկայում 2006 թվականից սկսած թմրապատերազմների հետեւանքով անհետ կորել է ավելի քան 60 հազար մարդ

Մեքսիկայի իշխանությունները բացահայտել են երկրի անվտանգության սարսափելի ճգնաժամի հետ կապված իրավիճակը՝ հրապարակելով վախեցնող թվեր, որոնց համաձայն՝ 2006 թվականին երկրում թմրապատերազմների մեկնարկից սկսած անհետ կորած է համարվում մոտ 62 հազար մարդ, հայտնում է The Guardian-ը:
Իշխանությունների հայտարարած թիվը նախորդից շատ ավելի մեծ է, որը հրապարակել էր 2018 թվականի դեկտեմբերին երկրի նախագահի պաշտոնում ընտրված Անդրես Մանուել Լոպես Օբրադորը:
Պարբերականը նշում է, որ այդ ժամանակից ի վեր անհետ կորածների թիվը շարունակել է աճել: Դրանից բացի, միայն 2019 թվականին սպանությունների հետեւանքով երկրում զոհվել է 31 հազարից ավելի մարդ: Սա հանգեցրել է երկրի նախագահին ուղղված բազմաթիվ հարցերի, որը հայտարարել էր «hugs not bullets» (գրկախառնություն, այլ ոչ թե փամփուշտներ) ռազմավարության մասին, որի նպատակն է սոցիալական հիմքով հանցագործությունների կրճատումը:
Մեքսիկայի մարդու իրավունքների փոխնախարար Ալեխանդրո Էնչինաս Ռոդրիգեսը լրագրողներին հայտնել է, որ Օբրադորի նախագահ ընտրվելու պահից երկրի իշխանությունները հայտնաբերել են ավելի քան 800 գաղտնի թաղման վայրեր, որոնցում հայտնաբերվել է ավելի քան 1000 մարմին:
Նրանցից հաջողվել է պարզել միայն 395 մահացածի ինքնությունը, իսկ ազգականներին հաջողվել է վերադարձնել միայն 243 սպանվածների մարմինները:
Թաղման վայրերը հայտնաբերվել են Սինալոա, Խալիսկո, Կոլիմա, Սոնորա եւ Չիուաուա նահանգներում: Նույն ժամանակահատվածում անհետ կորել է ավելի քան 5 հազար մարդ:
