ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը սպառնում է պատժամիջոցներ սահմանել Իրաքի դեմ՝ հայտարարելով, որ եթե ամերիկյան զորքերը լքեն երկիրը, Իրաքի կառավարությունը ստիպված կլինի Վաշինգտոնին վճարել երկրում տեղակայված «չափազանց թանկ» ռազմաբազայի համար, հաղորդում է Reuters-ը:
Նա նշել է, որ եթե Իրաքն ԱՄՆ զինված ուժերին խնդրել է լքել երկիրը «ոչ բարեկամական հիմքով», ապա «ԱՄՆ-ը նրանց դեմ այնպիսի պատժամիջոցներ կսահմանի, որ նրանք նախկինում չեն տեսել, եւ դրա համեմատ Իրանի դեմ պատժամիջոցները ձանձրալի կթվան»:
Հիշեցնենք, որ նախօրեին Իրաքի խորհրդարանը քվեարկել է երկրի տարածքից ամերիկյան զորքերի դուրսբերման օգտին:
Բացի այդ, նա անտեսել է ավելի վաղ արտահայտած մտավախություններն այն մասին, որ որպես թիրախ Իրանի մշակութային օբյեկտների ընտրությունը կարող է ռազմական հանցագործություններ սադրել:
«Նրանց կարելի է սպանել մեր մարդկանց: Նրանց կարելի է ճանապարհային ականներ կիրառել եւ պայթեցնել մեր մարդկանց: Իսկ մեզ չի՞ կարելի ձեռք տալ նրանց մշակութային օբյեկտներին: Այդպես չի լինի»,- ասել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը:
