INTERNATIONAL NEWSԿՀՎ տնօրենի նախկին պաշտոնակատար Մայք Մորելը կանխատեսել է, որ իրանցի գեներալ Ղասեմ Սոլեյմանիի սպանությունը վերջնարդյունքում թանկ գին կունենա:
Մորելը ենթադրել է, որ Իրանը ամերիկյան ուժերին հարվածներ չի հասցնի, այլ դրա փոխարեն «կազատի» տարածաշրջանում իր ներկայացուցիչներին: «Դրա հետեւանքով, հնարավոր է՝ հաջորդ մի քանի օրերին զոհվեն ամերիկացիներ՝ քաղաքացիական անձինք, ցանկացած վայրում, որտեղ Իրանը վստահելի անձինք ունի,- ասել է նա CBS-ի հետ հարցազրույցում: - Իրաքն առավել հավանական վայրն է, բայց նաեւ Լիբանանը, Բահրեյնը եւ Մերձավոր Արեւելքում այլ վայրեր»:
Մորելը երկար տարիներ հետախուզության վերլուծաբան է աշխատել եւ առանցքային դերակատարում է ունեցել նախկին նախագահներ Ջորջ Բուշի ու Բարաք Օբամայի վարչակազմերում: Օբամայի օրոք Մորելը եղել է ԿՀՎ փոխտնօրենը եւ երկու անգամ ԿՀՎ տնօրենի պաշտոնակատարը:
Մորելը չի բացառել, որ Իրանը «ահաբեկչություն կիրագործի, որի զոհը կլինի ամերիկացի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյա»:
