1811 - ծնվել է գերմանացի նշանավոր արևելագետ (իրանագետ, հայագետ) Ֆրիդրիխ Վինդիշմանը:
1883- ծնվել է նկարիչ Հակոբ Կոջոյանը: 1940– վախճանվել է գեղանկարիչ Ստեփան Աղաջանյանը:
1971 -վախճանվել է խորհրդահայ նևրոլոգ և նևրոֆիզիոլոգ Սեմիոն Սարկիսովը:
2002- ամբողջ հանրապետությունում, այդ թվում՝ մայրաքաղաքում տեղի են ունեցել զանգվածային հոսանքազրկումներ, որը բացատրվել է բարձրավոլտ լարման հաղորդագծերի վթարով:
2006- երեկոյան Թբիլիսիի Վազիանի արվարձանից Հայաստան՝ Գյումրիում տեղակայված 102-րդ ռուսական ռազմակայան է ուղևորվել Անդրկովկասում ռուսաստանյան զորախմբի թբիլիսյան կայազորի՝ գույքով եւ տեխնիկայով բեռնված երկրորդ եւ վերջին գնացքը:
2009- Սլովակիայում անցկացված «Միսիս Գլոբ 2009» գեղեցկության մրցույթում հաղթող է ճանաչվել Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչը` Գոհար Հարությունյանը:
ԱՇԽԱՐՀ
1048 –վախճանվել է պարսիկ գիտնական Բիրունին:
1204 - վախճանվել է հրեա փիլիսոփա Մայմոնիդը:
1250 - վախճանվել է Գերմանիայի թագավոր Ֆրիդրիխ 2-րդը:
1386– ծնվել է իտալացի քանդակագործ, Վերածննդի դարաշրջանի քանդակագործության հիմնադիրներից մեկը՝ Դոնատելլոն:
1504- ծնվել է Հռոմի պապ Պիոս 5-րդը:
1522- Օսմանյան զորքերը գրավում են Հռոդոս կղզին։ 1553 - ծնվել է Ֆրանսիայի թագավոր Հենրիխ 4-րդը:
1577- անգլիացի ծովագնաց Ֆրենսիս Դրեյկը Պլիմութից սկսել է իր շուրջերկրյա նավարկությունը։
1642 -հոլանդացի նավագնաց Աբել Թասմանը դարձել է առաջին եվրոպացին, որը հայտնաբերել է Նոր Զելանդիան:
1797– ծնվել է գերմանացի ճանաչված բանաստեղծ, հրապարակախոս և գրաքննադատ Հայնրիխ Հայնեն:
1864–Պարագվայը պատերազմ է հայտարարել Բրազիլիային:
1873– ծնվել է ռուս նշանավոր պոետ, արձակագիր, դրամատուրգ, գրականագետ և պատմաբան Վալերի Բրյուսովը:
1937–ճապոնացիները, գրավելով Չինաստանի Նանկին քաղաքը, իրականացրել են զանգվածային սպանդ, որը տևել է 6 շաբաթ. սպանվել է մոտ 200 000 մարդ:
1941–Անդեր լեռներում գտնվող Պալկակոչա լճի մեջ սառցադաշտից պոկված սառցաբեկորի ընկնելու հետևանքով առաջացած հեղեղի զոհ է դարձել մոտ 7000 մարդ:
1941 –Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի ընթացքում Հունգարիան և Ռումինիան պատերազմ են հայտարարել ԱՄՆ-ին։
1947 - վախճանվել է ռուս նկարիչ Նիկոլայ Ռերիխը:
1949 - Իսրայելի Քնեսեթը Երուսաղեմը հայտարարել է երկրի մայրաքաղաք։
1959- Արքեպիսկոպոս Մակարիոս 3-րդը դարձել է Կիպրոսի առաջին նախագահը։
1989– ծնվել է ամերիկացի երգչուհի, երգահան և դերասանուհի Թեյլոր Սվիֆթը:
1996 - Քոֆի Անանն ընտրվել է ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար։
2003 - Իրաքի Տիկրիտ քաղաքի շրջակայքում ձերբակալվում է Իրաքի առաջնորդ Սադդամ Հուսեյնը։
