INTERNATIONAL NEWSՆյու Դելիում առնվազն 35 մարդ է զոհվել ֆաբրիկաներից մեկում հրդեհի ժամանակ, եւ ակնկալվում է, որ զոհերի թիվը կմեծանա, հաղորդում է AFP-ը՝ հղում կատարելով տեղի ոստիկանությանը:
Հրդեհը բռնկվել է վաղ առավոտյան քաղաքի հին թաղամասերից մեկում, որի նեղ եւ ծանրաբեռնված փողոցները ծածկված են բազմաթիվ փոքր արտադրամասերով եւ պահեստներով: Հրշեջներին հաջողվել է փրկել ավելի քան 50 մարդու կյանք:
Հրշեջները հայտարարել են, որ շատ դժվար էր մուտք գործել մութ, վատ լուսավորվող տարածքը Սադար Բազար կոմերցիոն կենտրոնում:
«Բոլոր փրկվածներն անհապաղ տեղափոխվել են մոտակա հիվանդանոցներ, որոնք արդեն հաստատել են 35 մահվան դեպք: Տուժածներից մի քանիսը գտնվում են ծանր վիճակում»,- AFP-ին ասել է Սադար Բազարի ոստիկանության կոմիսարի օգնականը: Զոհերի մեծամասնությունը քնած են եղել, երբ հրդեհը բռնկվել է, եւ խեղդամահ եղել:
Հնդկական խոշոր քաղաքներում բազմաթիվ ֆաբրիկաներ եւ փոքր արտադրամասերի ստորաբաժանումներ հաճախ տեղակայված են քաղաքի հին, նեղ թաղամասերում, որտեղ տարածքը համեմատաբար մատչելի է: Նախագծման բացակայությունն ու շինարարության եւ անվտանգության կանոնների անբավարար պահպանումը հաճախ հագեցնում է այդպիսի մահացու վթարներին:
