ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն իր Թվիթերում տեղեկացրել է Թուրքիայի նախագահ Թայիփ Էրդողանի հետ «շատ լավ հեռախոսազրույցի» մասին, խոսակցությունը, մասնավորապես, վերաբերել է «Իսլամական պետության» գրոհայիններին» Սիրիայի սահմանին տիրող իրավիճակին, տեղեկացնում է ՌԻԱ «Նովոստի»-ն։

 

«Հենց նոր շատ լավ խոսակցություն ունեցա Թուրքիայի նախագահի հետ։ Նա ինձ տեղեկացրեց, որ իրենք (թուրք զինվորականները) ԻՊ մի քանի գրոհային են բռնել, որոնք, տեղեկությունների համաձայն, փախել էին (քրդերի հետ Թուրքիայի) կոնֆլիկտի ժամանակ, ներառյալ ահաբեկիչ-մարդասպան ալ Բաղդադիի կինը եւ քույրը»,- գրել է Թրամփը։

 

Բացի այդ, Թրամփը հաստատել է, որ Վաշինգտոնում կհանդիպի Էրդողանի հետ նոյեմբերի 13-ին։

 

Ավելի վաղ Թուրքիայի նախագահի աշխատակազմում տեղեկացրել էին, որ հանդիպումը Վաշինգտոնում տեղի կունենա նոյեմբերի 13-ին, թեեւ նախօրեին Էրդողանն ասել էր, թե առայժմ չի որոշել՝ տեղի կունենա՞ արդյոք իր այցը ԱՄՆ, եւ խոստացել էր որոշում կայացնել Թրամփի հետ հեռախոսազրույցների արդյունքում։

 

ԱՄՆ-ը եւ Թուրքիան հոկտեմբերի 17-ին հայտարարել էին, որ պայմանավորվել են դադարեցնել Թուրքիայի ռազմական գործողությունը Սիրիայում 120 ժամով եւ դուրս բերել քրդական կազմավորումները Թուրքիայի եւ Սիրիայի սահմանի 30 կիլոմետրանոց անվտանգային գոտուց, որն Անկարան մտադիր էր վերահսկել ինքնուրույն։ Հրադադարի ռեժիմի գործողությունն ավարտվել է հոկտեմբերի 22-ի երեքշաբթի օրը։ Ավելի ուշ Էրդողանը հայտարարել էր, որ ԱՄՆ-ը լրիվ չափով չի կատարում իր պարտավորությունները Թուրքիայի առջեւ Սիրիայի վերաբերյալ պայմանավորվածությունների շրջանակում, Անկարան պատրաստ չէ գնալ փոխզիջումների։
