SOCIETYՀՀ-ում վերջին գոնե 30 տարվա ընթացքում բավականին առանցքային նշանակություն ունեցող հարցերից եղել և շարունակում է մնալ ապօրինի ծառահատումների թեման։ Սա մի խնդիր է, որ երկրի համար ունի կենսական նշանակություն, քանի որ գործ ունենք բազմակողմ խնդրի հետ. մի կողմից առկա է սոցիալական խնդիր՝ ՀՀ մի շարք մարզերում (Լոռի, Տավուշ, Սյունիք) վառելիքի հիմնական աղբյուրը շարունակում է մնալ փայտը, իսկ մյուս կողմից՝ բնապահպանական։
ՀՀ գործող իշխանություններն ի սկզբանե ծառահատումների հարցին, կարծես թե, շատ խիստ են վերաբերվում, սակայն ապօրինի ծառահատումները շարունակվում են։
«Փաստ» թերթի աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ, ըստ ոլորտի ներքին տեղեկատվության, 2019-ին հատված ծառերի թիվն արդեն իսկ 3000-ին մոտ է, մինչդեռ 2017-ին այն կազմել է մոտ 700, իսկ 2018-ին՝ մոտ 1000 ծառ։
Ի դեպ, մեր տեղեկություններով, փայտի 1խմ-ի գինը տատանվում է 15000-20000 դրամի սահմաններում՝ նախկին 10000-ի փոխարեն, սակայն, միևնույն է, գյուղացիները ստիպված են նույնիսկ այդ գնով ձեռք բերել վառելափայտ՝ ձմռանը նախապատրաստվելու համար։
