Ես գեներալ մարդ  եմ, էսօր ինձ խայտառակում են: Արժանապատիվ մարդ եմ, արժանապատիվ գեներալ: Հիմա իմ ողջ կյանքի արածը ջուրն է ընկնում: Սրանք ՀՀ նախկին ոստիկանապետ Հայկ Հարությունյանի վերջին խոսքերն են: Եվ ինչպես ArmLur.am-ի հավաստի աղբյուրներն են փոխանցում, Հայկ Հարությունյանը մահվան պահին միայնակ չի եղել: Իր զրուցակցի հետ Բջնիի առանձնատանը երկար-բարակ խոսել է իր անցած ճանապարհից, գործունեության տարիներից, այն մասին, թե ինչպես է կարողացել տարիներ շարունակ մաքուր ապրել, իր երկրում պարզ ճակատով քայլել, բայց, արի ու տես, այսօր նրան անարգանքի սյունին են գամում, սև բիծ են քաշում կենսագրության վրա, և իրեն սպառնում են խայտառակությունը, անպատիվ վախճանը:

ArmLur.am-ի տեղեկություններով՝ Հայկ Հարությունյանն իր մահվան ականատեսին (անունը հասկանալի պատճառներով չենք հրապարակում) գանգատվել է, թե՝ ախր ինչպե՞ս չեն հասկանում, որ այս ամեն ինչում, Մարտի 1-ի թեմայում Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը, Գեղամ Պետրոսյանը ու բազում այլ մարդիկ առնչություն չունեն: «Էս ի՞նչ են անում, ինչո՞ւ են մեր նկատմամբ էսպես վարվում», ասել է նախկին բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյան և ինքն իրեն գլխի շրջանում մահացու հրազենային վիրավորում հասցրել:

Ինչպես հայտնի է՝ Հայկ Հարությունյանը 2008 թվականի մարտի 1-ի դեպքերի ժամանակ զբաղեցնում էր ՀՀ ոստիկանության պետի պաշտոնը: ArmLur.am-ին հայտնի դարձավ, որ նրան վերջին շրջանում հաճախ են հրավիրել Հատուկ քննչական ծառայություն՝ ցուցմունք վերցնելու, հարցաքննելու: Չի բացառվում, որ նա հրաժարվել է ցուցմունք տալ և պատվի համար է նման քայլի գնացել: Սա չհաստատված վարկածներից մեկն է:

Հայկ Հարությունյանը նախկինում զբաղեցրել է նաև ՔԿ վարչության պետի և ՊՊԾ պետի պաշտոնները:

Նրա մահվան դեպքով ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեում ինքնասպանության հասցնելու հատկանիշներով քրեական գործ է հարուցվել: Իսկ դեպքի վայրում հայտնաբերվել են արնանման հետքեր, հրազեն և պարկուճ:
