Մարդու պապիլոմավիրուսը երբեմն ինքնուրույն է վերանում, որոշ մարդիկ կարող են վիրուսակիր լինել՝ դա չգիտակցելով: Երբեմն բուժում է պահանջվում, սակայն չմշակված մարդու պապիլոմավիրուսը կարող է հանգեցնել սեռական օրգանների կամ կոկորդի քաղցկեղի: Պետք է անհապաղ բժշկի դիմեք գորտնուկներ հայտնաբերելու դեպքում: Մարդու պապիլոմավիրուսը որպես այդպիսին չի բուժվում, բայց այն կարելի է բուժել ախտանիշերը մեղմացնելու կամ նախաքաղցկեղային բջիջները վերացնելու համար: Պատվաստվեք հիվանդության դեմ և պահպանակ օգտագործեք:

Հիվանդությունը տարածվում է հեշտոցային, անալ և օրալ շփման միջոցով: Հերպեսը կարող է ախտանիշ չունենալ կամ բլիստերներ առաջացնել: Այդ փուչիկները կարող են մի քանի շաբաթ գոյություն ունենալ: Հերպեսը կարող է նաև մարմնում ցավեր, սարսուռ և տենդ առաջացնել: Այն չբուժելու դեպքում կարող է առաջացնել կրկնվող խոցեր, վերքերը տարածել մարմնի մյուս մասերին, այրոցի զգացում առաջացնել միզելիս, հանգեցնել վիժման, հեշտոցային բիծ առաջացնել: Հերպեսը նաև կարող է ծննդաբերության ժամանակ երեխային փոխանցվել:
