Ձկները որերորդ անգամ իրենք իրենց խոստանում են, որ այլևս երբեք թույլ չեն տա իրենց մոլորեցնել, բայց, չգիտես ինչու, երբեք չեն սովորում իրենց սխալների վրա ու հաճախ մարդկանց հնարավորություն են տալիս մանիպուլյացնել իրենց։ Ձկները շատ զգայուն են, երբեմն՝ նույնիսկ չափից առավել, և նրանք լավ կանխազգացում ունեն, միայն թե նրանք դրան այնքան էլ ականջ չեն դնում։

Խոյը շատ դյուրահավատ է, երբ սիրահարված է։ Նա տենչում է հավատալ սիրուն, անգամ, երբ շրջապատողները նրան խորհուրդ են տալիս զգուշանալ։ Սիրահարված Խոյը չի լսում իր ներքին ձայնին, որն իրեն նախազգուշացնում է, որ, երբ ինչ-որ բան շատ լավ է ճշմարտություն լինելու համար, սովորաբար հենց այդպես էլ տեղի է ունենում։

Հենց որ Խոյը բացվում է զուգընկերոջ առջև, նա կշարունակի անվերապահորեն վստահել նրան՝ չտեսնելով, որ ամեն ինչ տեղի է ունենում ոչ այնպես, ինչպես ցանկանում ես։ Խոյն ուժեղ չէ այն ռազմավարության մեջ, որ սկզբում լավ մտածի, հետո նոր գործի, և դրա համար էլ Խոյին հեշտ է խաբել սիրո մեջ։
