Ջասթին Թիմբերլեյք - Cry Me a River
Ջասթինն ու Բրիթնի Սփիրսը երկար ժամանակ համարվել են գեղեցիկ աստղային զույգերից մեկը: Այժմ երկուսն էլ նոր հարաբերություններ են ստեղծել՝ հաջող կամ անհաջող և դարձել են ծնողներ, բայց Թիմբերլեյքի 2002թ. Cry Me a River երգը դեռ կա ու սիրված է: Նա երբեք չի ասել, որ երգն իրենց բաժանման մասին է, բայց մռայլ տեսանյութը, որտեղ հուսահատ Ջասթինը հետապնդում է Բրիթնիի նման մեկին, ապացուցում է ամեն ինչ:
Ադել - Someone Like You
Ադելի «21» ալբոմը հիմնականում ներշնչվել է անհայտ նախկին սիրեցյալի կողմից, որին երկրպագուները տվել են «Mr 21» անունը: Մենք միայն կարող ենք պատկերացնել, որ այդ տղամարդը ստիպված է դադարեցնել ռադիո լսելը, հեռուստացույց նայելը՝ խուսափելով բոլոր այն վայրերից, որտեղ երաժշտություն է հնչում, որպեսզի խույս տա վերջին մի քանի տարվա իր թերությունների մասին լսելուց:
Թեյլոր Սվիֆթ - Dear John
Դժվար է ընտրություն կատարել Թեյլորի՝ իր նախկին ընկերոջը նվիրված երգերի միջև, բայց նրա այս երգը կրկին հայտնի երգիչ Ջոն Մեյերին է նվիրված: «Սիրելի Ջոն, ես հիմա եմ տեսնում, որ ամեն ինչ սխալ էր, չե՞ս կարծում, որ 19 տարեկանը շատ երիտասարդ տարիք է քո սև խաղերի զոհը դառնալու համար, մինչդեռ ես քեզ այնքան շատ էի սիրում»,- երգել է նա: Ջոնը «Ռոլինգ Սթոունին» հայտնել է, որ «իսկապես վիրավորված է» այդ երգից: Դրանից հետո ձայնագրել է Paper Doll երգը, որտեղ ասել է. «Որովհետև դու նման ես 22 տարեկան աղջիկներին, իսկ նրանցից ոչ մեկը չգիտի, թե ինչից է փախչում»: Նա երբեք չի հաստատել կամ ժխտել, որ երգը Թեյլորի մասին է:
Մայլի Սայրուս - 7 Things
Նախքան իր դեռահասության շրջանի Hannah Montana կերպարից ազատվելը Մայլին մի քանի տարի հանդիպել է Նիք Ջոնսի հետ: Բաժանումից հետո նա Նիքի 7 սխալների ցուցակ է կազմել իր 2008թ. սինգլում: Քեթի Փերի Wide Awake Փերին և հումորիստ Ռասլ Բրանդը 2 տարի հանդիպելուց հետո բաժանվել են: Դրանից անմիջապես հետո նա գրել է այս երգը հետևյալ կրկներգով. «9-րդ երկնքից ընկնելով, բարձրությունից խորտակվելով՝ ես թույլ եմ տալիս քեզ հեռանալ կեսգիշերին»:
Սելենա Գոմես - The Heart Wants What It Wants
Դժվար է ասել, թե ճշգրիտ երբ են Սելենան ու Ջասթինը բաժանվել, բայց երգի բառերը՝ «սա նորաձև հեքիաթ է, չկան լավ ավարտներ», ցույց է տալիս, որ բաժանումը երգի ստեղծման ընթացքում է եղել, չնայած երգի այլ տողեր էլ հակասում են դրան: 2014թ. նոյեմբերին Բիբերի պահվածքը, երբ խնդիրներ ունեցավ օրենքի հետ, եկավ դա պարզելու:

2015թ. Ջասթինը խոստովանել է, որ իր Purpose ալբոմի 3 երգեր Սելենայի մասին են, այդ թվում՝ What Do You Mean?-ը, որտեղ նրան մեղադրում է տրամադրության տատանումներ ունենալու մեջ. «Երբ չես ուզում, որ ես գնամ, բայց ասում ես գնա»:
