ԱՄՆ-ը Մոսկվային թույլ չի տա վերադարձնել խորհրդային անցյալը. Պենտագոնի ղեկավար

ԱՄՆ-ի պաշտպանության նախարար Էշթոն Քարթերը հայտարարել Է, որ Ռուսաստանը փորձում Է վերականգնել արտաքին քաղաքական ազդեցության գոտիները, ինչպես դա եղել Է խորհրդային ժամանակներում: ԱՄՆ-ը եւ նրա դաշնակիցները Կրեմլին թույլ չեն տա դա իրականացնել, հավելել Է նախարարը, տեղեկացնում Է BBC-ը:
Ելույթ ունենալով Բեռլինում՝ Քարթերն ասել Է, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի գծով դաշնակիցները պատրաստ են Մոսկվայի հետ բարելավել հարաբերությունները, բայց այդ մասին որոշումը պետք Է ընդունի հենց Կրեմլը:
«Մենք սառը պատերազմի չենք ձգտում Ռուսաստանի հետ՝ Էլ չասած թեժի մասին: Մենք չենք ձգտում Ռուսաստանը դարձնել մեր թշնամին: Բայց եւ չպետք Է կասկածել, որ մենք պատրաստ ենք պաշտպանել մեր դաշնակիցներին եւ միջազգային օրենքները»,-ընդգծել Է Պենտագոնի ղեկավարը:
Ինչպես հայտնել Է Պենտագոնը, այցի ընթացքում, որը կշարունակվի հունիսի 22-ից մինչեւ 26-ը, Քարթերը կայցելի Գերմանիա, Էստոնիա եւ Բելգիա՝ քննարկելու, մասնավորապես, Ռուսաստանի կողմից առկա մարտահրավերները:
Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-ի պաշտպանության նախարարը հայտարարել Է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները եւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի գծով նրա դաշնակիցները ելնում են այն բանից, որ Ռուսաստանի հետ սուր տարաձայնությունները երկարաժամկետ բնույթ են կրելու, եւ մտադիր են այդ շրջանում «խիստ, բայց հավասարակշռված մոտեցում կիրառել» Մոսկվայի հետ հարաբերություններում:
Քարտերի խոսքով՝ Բրյուսելի խորհրդակցությունում քննարկվելու է Ուկրաինայի իրադարձությունների եւ Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերությունների սրվելու կապակցությամբ անվտանգության բնագավառի նոր պայմաններին դաշինքի ադապտացման անհրաժեշտությունը: «Ադապտացիան, որի մասին ես խոսում եմ, պայմանավորված է նրանով, որ, ինչպես սպասվում է, Ռուսաստանը հավանաբար չի փոխվի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի օրոք կամ նույնիսկ ավելի ուշ»,- պարզաբանել է Պենտագոնի ղեկավարը:
Միեւնույն ժամանակ, ինչպես նշել է Քարտերը, Միացյալ Նահանգները նախկինի պես Ռուսաստանի հետ կարեւոր համագործակցություն է իրականացնում մի շարք բնագավառներում, ներառյալ Իրանի միջուկային ծրագրի շուրջ բանակցությունները եւ ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարը:
