Շախմատի Հայաստանի հավաքականը վստահ հաղթանակով ավարտեց Իսլանդիայի մայրաքաղաք Ռեյկյավիկում անցկացվող Եվրոպայի թիմային առաջնությունը: Վերջին՝ 9-րդ տուրում հայ գրոսմայստերները 3:1 հաշվով առավելության հասան Վրաստանի թիմի նկատմամբ:
6-րդ վարկանիշային համարով հանդես եկող Հայաստանի թիմի առաջատար Լեւոն Արոնյանը սպիտակներով հաղթեց Բահանդուր Ջոբավային, երրորդ համար Սերգեյ Մովսեսյանը սպիտակներով ուժեղ գտնվեց Լուկա Պաիչաձեից, Գաբրիել Սարգսյանը երկրորդ խաղատախտակի վրա սեւերով ոչ ոքի խաղաց Միխեիլ Մչեդիշվիլու հետ, իսկ Հրանտ Մելքումյանը սեւերով միավորը կիսեց Մերաբ Գագունաշվիլիի հետ:
Հայաստանի հավաքականն առաջնությունն ավարտեց 13 միավորով եւ այժմ ընթացիկ երրորդ տեղում է:
Ավելի վաղ Եվրոպայի չեմպիոնի տիտղոսն ապահովել էր Ռուսաստանի հավաքականը, որը վերջին տուրում ոչ ոքի էր խաղացել երկրորդ տեղում գտնվող Հունգարիայի հետ եւ 15 միավորով եւ գրավել առաջին տեղը: Հունգարացիներն ունեն 13 միավոր եւ ընթացիկ երկրորդ տեղում են: 11 միավոր ունեցող Ֆրանսիայի հավաքականը մրցում է Հոլանդիայի թիմի հետ եւ 3 պարտիաներից հետո հաղթում է 2:1 հաշվով:
