Դինիտրոֆենոլը հայտնի է որպես DNP և հանդիսանում է քաշի նվազեցման միջոց: Սակայն վտանգավոր է խոսել վիճակագրության մասին: Միայն Մեծ Բրիտանիայում 2007 թվականին մահացել է 5 մարդ: Սարքավորումը սինթետիկ միացություն ունի, որը մի ժամանակ կիրառվել է գույների, քիմիկատների արտադրության ժամանակ:
