«Տևական ժամանակ է, ինչ Գյումրու Անի թաղամասում տեղակայված կենդանաբանական այգու տնօրեն Ստյոպա Վարդանյանն ահազանգում է՝ այգու կենդանիները սովից և ցրտից կարող են սատկել։ Նշենք, որ կենդանաբանական այգում են գտնվում առյուծ Մերին՝ ձագերի Զիտայի և Գիտայի հետ, նաև՝Մաշա և Միշա արջուկները։ Խնդրի առնչությամբ «Ժողովուրդ»-ը զրուցեց Գյումրու քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանի հետ՝ պարզելու համար, թե ինչու վերջինս չի արձագանքում կենդանաբանական այգու տնօրենի ահազանգերին։ «Դե, իրեն առաջարկել ենք տեղափոխման համար մեքենա, կռունկ։ Եվ դեռ սպասում ենք պատասխանի։ Պատրաստ ենք օգնել, որովհետև իսկապես ծանր է կենդանիների վիճակը։ Իսկ կերի մասով էլ մենք պատրաստ ենք օգնել։ Եթե դիմի, կօգնենք, որովհետև խայտառակ վիճակ է։ Երբ ինքն ասի՝օգնենք, մենք կօգնենք»,– ասաց Բալասանյանը։ Գյումրիի քաղաքապետի խոսքերից ստացվում է՝ Ստյոպա Վարդանյանը կենդանիների կերի համար բոլորից օգնություն է հայցում, սակայն իր հայրենի քաղաքապետարանին մինչ օրս այդ հարցով չի դիմել»,–գրում է թերթը։
