Սամբիստ Տիգրան Կիրակոսյանը հաղթեց ադրբեջանցուն ու դարձավ Եվրոպական խաղերի չեմպիոն

Բելառուսի մայրաքաղաք Մինսկում ընթացող Եվրոպական երկրորդ խաղերում Հայաստանը չեմպիոն ունի:
52 կգ քաշային սամբիստ Տիգրան Կիրակոսյանը եզրափակչում 4-0 հաշվով հաղթեց Ադրբեջանը ներկայացնող Ագհասիֆ Սամադովին ու հռչակվեց Եվրոպական խաղերի չեմպիոն:
Տիգրան Կիրակոսյանը պայքարը սկսել էր 1/4 եզրափակչից, որտեղ նրա մրցակիցն ուկրաինացի Ռոման Բրատչենկոն էր։ Հայ սամբիստը հաղթել էր 7-0 հաշվով և դուրս եկել կիսաեզրափակիչ, որտեղ առավելության էր հասել ռուս Անդրեյ Կուբարկովի նկատմամբ (3-3):
Հունիսի 22-ին հայ սամբիստներից պայքարի մեջ էին մտել Դավիթ Գրիգորյանը (82 կգ), Մաքսիմ Մանուկյանը (57 կգ) և Ասյա Լալազարյանը (48 կգ): Գրիգորյանը դարձավ արծաթե մեդալակիր, իսկ Մանուկյանը և Լալազարյանը պարտվեցին բրոնզե մեդալի համար պայքարում։
Այսօր հայ սամբիստներից բրոնզե մեդալ է նվաճել Արսեն Ղազարյանը (74 կգ), իսկ Գրիգոր Սահակյանը (90 կգ) պարտվել է բրոնզե մեդալի համար պայքարում։
