Ամառը շատերի սիրելի եղանակն է, միայն թե երկու վատ բան կա ամառվա հետ կապված՝ չափից շատ շոգն ու մոծակները: Բացի տհաճ լինելուց, մոծակի խայթոցը կարող է նաև վտանգավոր լինել: Դրանք կարող են շատ հիվանդություններ տարածել, ինչպես Մալարիան, Արևմտյան Նեղոսի տենդը և Զիկայի տենդը։

Իրականում, բացի տարատեսակ քսուքներից ու այլ միջոցներից, կա մի բնական միջոց մոծակներին վանելու համար՝ Վիտամին B1-ը, որը հայտնի է թիամին անունով: Դեռևս հայտնի չէ, թե ինչպես է այն ազդում մոծակներին վանելու համար, սակայն մի բան հայտնի է, որ թիամինը փոխում է քրտինքի հոտը, որն է խայթոցներից խուսափելու հիանալի միջոց է դառնում:

Հայտնի է, որ մոծակները կարող են մարդկանց հոտով ճանաչել 30 մետր հեռավորությունից, իսկ թիամինի օգտագործումը կարող է կանխարգելել մոծակների հարձակումներից:

Վիտամին B1-ը կարելի է օգտագործել օրվա մեջ 25-50մլգ: Այս վիտամինը կարելի է ընդունել կոճակներով կամ սնունդի օգնությամբ:

Մեծ քանակությամբ վիտամին B1 պարունակվում է կաղամբի, արևածաղկի սերմերի և բրոկոլիի մեջ:
