Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը և Սերբիայի Հանրապետությունը համագործակցելու են պաշտպանության բնագավառում: ՀՀ կառավարության առաջիկա նիստում քննարկվելու է երկու երկրների կառավարությունների միջև կնքվելիք համաձայնագրի նախագիծը:

Փաստաթղթի նպատակն է կողմերի միջև պաշտպանության բնագավառում հաստատել հավասարության, փոխադարձության և փոխշահավետության վրա հիմնված համագործակցության հիմնական սկզբունքներն ու ընթացակարգերը:

Համաձայնագրի նախագծով սահմանվում են երկու երկրների համագործակցության ոլորտները` պաշտպանական անվտանգություն, ռազմատնտեսական գործակցություն, ռազմաիրավական ոլորտի համագործակցություն, խաղաղապահ առաքելություններ, ռազմական գիտատեխնիկական համագործակցություն, զինվորական կրթություն և վարժանք, զինվորական բժշկություն և այլն:
Համագործակցության իրականացման ձևերն են պաշտոնական պատվիրակությունների այցերը, աշխատանքային հանդիպումները, փորձի փոխանակումը և խորհրդատվությունը, վարժական և կրթական ծրագրերը, մասնակցությունը գիտաժողովներին և սեմինարներին և այլն: Նախագծում սահմանվել են այս բոլոր միջոցառումների ֆինանսավորման կարգը և այլ խնդիրներ:

Համաձայնագրի դրույթների իրագործման նպատակով կողմերը լիազորված մարմիններ են ճանաչել երկու երկրների պաշտպանության նախարարությունները:

Համագործակցության ընդլայնման դեպքում փաստաթուղթը նախատեսում է Հայաստանում և Սերբիայում զինվորական ներկայացուցչության /կցորդության/ ստեղծման հնարավորություն: Համաձայնագրի դրույթներով կողմերը պարտավորվում են փոխադարձության սկզբունքով հոգալ միջոցառումների իրականացման համար նախատեսված ծախսերը` միաժամանակ սահմանելով այդ ծախսերի բաշխման այլ ձևի կիրառում:

Ըստ որոշման նախագծին կցված տեղեկանքի ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարությունը նպատակահարմար է համարում սկսել համաձայնագրի կնքման նպատակով անհրաժեշտ ներպետական ընթացակարգը: Դրանցից առաջինը «Հայաստանի Հանրապետության և Սերբիայի Հանրապետության կառավարությունների միջև պաշտպանության բնագավառում համագործակցության մասին» համաձայնագրի կնքման առաջարկությանը համաձայնություն տալն է:

Ըստ ՀՀ արդարադատության նախարարության իրավական ակտերի փորձաքննության գործակալության եզրակացության փաստաթղթի նախագիծն համապատասխանում է ՀՀ օրենսդրությանը:
