Հայտնի է դարձել Շրի Լանկայի պայթյունների համար կասկածվող ահաբեկչական խմբավորման անունը
INTERNATIONAL NEWSՇրի Լանկայի իշխանությունները պարզել են, թե որ խմբավորման կողմից են իրականացվել ապրիլի 21-ին՝ Սուրբ Հարության օրը, երկրի եկեղեցիներում և շքեղ հյուրանոցներում որոտացած 8 պայթյունները, որոնք մինչ այժմ 290 մարդու կյանք են խլել:
Ինչպես գրում է New York Times-ը, ահաբեկչության համար մեղադրվում է իսլամիստ ծայրահեղականների «Ազգային Թհովֆիք Ջամաաթ» խմբավորումը, որը քիչ է հայտնի և մինչ այդ լուրջ հարձակումներ չի իրականացրել:
Իշխանությունների խոսքով՝ խմբավորումն աջակցություն է ստացել միջազգային ահաբեկչական խմբավորումներից:
Հաղորդվում է, որ Շրի Լանկայի անվտանգության ծառայությունը պայթյուններից առնվազն 10 օր առաջ զգուշացել է ծրագրվող հարձակման մասին, սակայն ոչինչ չեն ձեռնարկել, մինչդեռ կառավարության բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաները հայտնել են զգուշացմանն անտեղյակ լինելու մասին:
Հարձակման գլխավոր թիրախը տեղի քրիստոնյաներն են եղել: Ոստիկանությունը ձերբակալել է 24 կասկածյալի: Բացի այդ, հայտնաբերվել է բեռնատար, որը կարող էին օգտագործել հանցագործները:
