Մոնրեալի քաղաքապետարանը Հայոց Ցեղասպանության 104-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ բանաձեւ է ընդունել
INTERNATIONAL NEWSՄոնրեալի քաղաքապետարանը ապրիլի 15–ին հատուկ նիստի ժամանակ ընդունեց բանաձև (հայտարարություն)՝ Հայոց Ցեղասպանության 104-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ։ Բանաձևի տեքստում մասնավորապես նշվում է, որ 1915թ․ Հայոց Ցեղասպանությունը 20-րդ դարի առաջին ցեղասպանությունն էր, որի ընթացքում նահատակ դարձավ հայ ազգի երկու երրորդը։
Ինչպես NEWS.am–ը տեղեկանում է ԱԳՆ լրատվական ծառայությունից, հայտարարությունում նաև նշվում է, որ Մոնրեալում բնակվող մոտ 50 հազար հայերն իրենց ակտիվ մասնակցությունն են բերում քաղաքի մշակութային, տնտեսական ու քաղաքական կյանքում։
2019թ․ ապրիլի 24-ը Մոնրեալում կհայտարարվի Հայոց Ցեղասպանության հիշատակման օր․ այդ օրը քաղաքապետարանը հանդես կգա հատուկ ուղերձով՝ հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելով Ցեղասպանության զոհերին և իր զորակցությունը հայտնելով հայ ժողովրդին։
Նիստին մասնակցում էին Մոնրեալի քաղաքապետ Վալերի Պլանտը (Valérie Plante), քաղաքային խորհրդում ներկայացված քաղաքական կուսակցությունների և հասարակական կազմակերպությունների անդամները, ինչպես նաև Կանադայում ՀՀ դեսպանության և Հայ Դատի Կանադայի գրասենյակի ներկայացուցիչները։
